Well, this weekend I had this REALLY odd dream. I can't remember most of the things and many things don't make too much sense (like in most dreams) but I'll try to tell it as I remember it.

Well, I was in a movie. I was one of the characters, but not anactor. Meaning, I knew I was a movie character but I wasn't an actor playing him, I WAS the character. I'm not sure if I was the main character, because everything I saw through my own eyes. Well, sometimes I saw stuff that happened to other characters, but that might have been because I was a psyker and didnt'know it or something. Anyways...

I was an Imperial Guardsman. I'm not sure what kind of guardsman I was, but I'm sure I was a troop choice. I remember shooting someone with a gun that melted him, so I might have been a melta-vet, but I also remember firing some bigass automatic weapons, so I'm not too sure. I think we were in a mixed regiment, but I'm not sure what regiments we were from. I remember seeing guys with Valhalan, member Armageddon and Cadian uniforms. I think I was a Cadian, but my armor was a bit off. Another presimably main character was this guardswoman who was part of a heavy weapons team. I think they had an autocannon. So, if I recall correctly, she was some sort of a love-interest to my character, but I also remember walking into her and the ammo-guy doing stuff I can't write about here, so I guess that wasn't going too well for my char. I think I tried to kill him afterwards, because I remember swinging a chainsword at him some time after.

She was into this weird plot thing where she was important in some way I can't remember and was going to become what I guess was the Sororitas' version of a Terminator (I know that doesn't exist, but the movie was odd like that; I guess the plot was finally moving forward xD). She got her armor and was marching towards the enemy lines (for some reason footslogging) and got splashed by an artillery shell (which leads me to think we were fighting traitor guardsmen). I know she didn't die, because after everything went black I remember seeing her blinking through her broken helmet, but then I woke up. Needless to say my head met the wall a few dozen times and I tried to go back to sleep for about an hour.

I really liked it, though I can't assure it was GOOD. I guess the reason I liked it the most was that I could wctually FEEL what my character was feeling. I wasn't a guy dreaming he was a guardsman. I WAS a guardsman. And it was the AWESOMEST thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life.

So, how about you? Have you ever had a memorable 40k dream?

I once had a dream that I was fighting off some kind of foreign invaders in my hometown, but I had a bolter.

I've had plenty of dreams where I've been shopping for WH40k stuff. Models, usually, but occasionally related videogames. Do those count?

When I woke up from one of them, I thought I'd actually bought some of the stuff. Went on thinking that for about 10 minutes, till I realized it was a dream after I noticed it was missing from my room. Then I ACTUALLY went out and bought some WH40k stuff. Not because I'd had the dream though - I'd been planning to go to the store that day for about a week.

Nice. I've had shopping dreams like that before. Mine were crueler, though, because that morning I spent a whole hour looking for my new soon-to-be Salamanders models before realizing I had never bought them.

Aww, your brain is so mean to you!

When I told people I know IRL about the shopping dreams, they asked if they were nightmares, due to my social anxiety and malls usually being crowded.

Such a letdown when you realize you never actually bought em, isn't it?

It has yet to come- Err, arrive- um, happen.

I had a dream involving a few hundred Nurlgings trying to eat me. Fortunately, an army of Daemonettes (fluff daemonettes, the one who are "the epitome of female beauty"), Sororitas and Guardswomen came to me, bringing my flamer. Ten minutes later, we killed off all Nurglings. Then, the party started!

I have this recurring dream where I'm standing outside in my underware in an impossibly long line waiting for my turn to use a bathroom on Holy Terra.

Funny of you to ask. I recently had this dream of where I was an Eldar Farseer, fighting my brother. He was armed with a Bolt pistol, and a chainsword.

I dreamt I painted a predator to a fairly average standard for a friend of mine in highsschool for $40. I also had a dream before I started playing 40k proper that I had a giant, realistic jungle table set up in my living room. I had an army of Ultramarines and Dark Angels, and they were getting shelled by my enemy. However, this was happening as a real battle on the table, with explosions, bolters firing, and all kinds of battle going on. One of the Dark Angels turned towards me and yelled for help and reinforcements. That dream is one of the reasons why I started a Dark Angels army that same summer!

I haven't dreamt about 40k persay.

But once I had a dream I was staring at a land mass ahead from the prow of a longship. All I can remember is how clear the sky was, the wind was cold, colder then where I live in wintertime. But teeth clattered and my brow furrowed.

And here I was, thinking I was the only one...

Anyway lets go to the good stuff

My dream is more simple, I saw what I assume a Death Company visions...And thats how I fell to the Black Rage but it was fun slicing and dicing with a Power-Axe and shooting, with a bolter-pistol, daemons on a long forgotten planet...I woke up before Astrorath gave me the final rest...Tbh I was dissapointed...I wanted more...

I have dreams about playing 40k or working on models all the time( almost every dream I remember, save for the odd nightmare involving work), but very rarely do I have dreams of being in the 40k universe.

Ive dreamt 40k but can't give specifics, I forget them very quickly when I wake up.

I did dream there were zombies in the car with me once. I punched and elbowed my boyfriend in my sleep thinking I was attacking a zombie.

I have only dreamt WHFB dreams and dreams about models, never anything in the "actual" 40k world.

I had a dream i was a Black Templar High marshal and I killed a warboss but was killed by a gretchin

Man, there's some wicked dreams in this thread.

Something like that happened only once to me, on a day where my Dark Heresy group had a session planned. I still had a few hours left before the game and was lying down to chill a bit, then dozed off into a light nap. Sadly, I forgot most of what happened in that dream, but I remember very clearly that our group's Inquisitor was commanding me to wake the feth up. So I did.

Creepy...

Weirdest dream i can remember was when i dreamt i was an assault marine, but instead of power armour i was wearing pajamas with a jump pack, pretty much woke up after jumping into a horde of teletubies with chainsword and bolt pistol in hand

I dreamt I was a guardsman again. This time it was much less awesome, but it was nice still. I was a cadian veteran playing poker with my sergeant and vox-man. Sometime later the Astropath came and said he wanted to play, but we didn't let him because we all knew he could sense all of our cards with his weird perception thingie. He got mad at us and left, ust to come back later with te commissar. Still, instead of yelling and shooting someone, he joined the game!

I can't remember having any 40k dreams but a couple of sci-fi realted ones have always stuck in my mind, first off was the slightly surreal image of me standing on a giant Malteser floating in an ocean of milk talking to Captain Sisko from DS9. I think i'd been watching too much trek at the time.

Second off was part dream part nightmare was myself and two former work mates fighting a Predator in my old factory. A bit like the meat factory scene from P2 except instead of meat there were these giant 15m long fibreglass beams all suspended from the ceiling and we were all jumping to and from them all fighting the Predator. I'd spent the summer making the beams so that's probably where that came from.

For a moment I thought you meant a SM Predator!

I don't remember an actual dream on the battlefield but I remember vaguely dreaming about playing a game against the female version of myself using only empty Raiders against empty Wave Serpents.

I had a dream about the Battle for Macragge once. It was so vivid that I was able to recall most of it the next morning.
A friend of mine intoduced me to a co-worker of his and asked me to discribe the world of warhammer 40k.
I proceeded to tell them about my dream. Afterwords, they both exclaimed that I had to write it down.
I never did but, it wouldn't go over well with hardcore fans. Basically the dream revolved around a guardsmen fighting along side the Ultramines.
I think my subconcience drew up the battle report in WD (the issue that introduced the plastic falcon iirc) in which an Ultramine army and Gaurd army are faced off against Tyranids, reenacting the battle for the polar defence cannons.
I won't get into details as I may actually write a fanfiction at some point.

I had a really weird fething dream once.
I was a Blood Angel Sergeant in a fleet of BA ships, allied with F-303s from SG1 only to attack a bunch of Ha'taks and Asgard ships, weird gak

I dreamed I was the chapter master of the Knights of Blood and chopped my way trough Dark Eldar, just for the laughs. And now I have Knights of Blood, I am him. It was a vision.
