Just bought two swarms of hormagaunts and a tyrant and I can't decide what hive fleet I what them to be... I think im going to paint them leviathan just to be cliche but i cant decide...
I'm a huge fan of Behemoth, but don't let a choice being 'cliche' stop you from doing what you want. You'd also be surprised at how few people use the standard GW fleets. Tyranids more than any other army seem to get people creative side going for a colour scheme. You may start Leviathan and wind up being the only person in your area with Leviathan.
And that is why you hear people yelling FOR THE EMPEROR rather than FOR LOGICAL AND QUANTIFIABLE BASED DECISIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE MAJORITY!

Meanwhile father time and cunning lord tzeentch whisper 'our games are better AND cheaper' and then players leave for mantic and warmahordes.

When I started with my Nids I absolutely loved the Leviathan colours and I tried painting them like that. Sadly I wasn't very good at it... Now I have developed my own colours and it's a lot more satisfying for me to paint them like that. I don't have to worry about getting it wrong.
But really, it's all up to you. If you like a certain fleet then go for it.
