Who would you rather take for a HQ in an infantry heavy army Lysander or Kantor? Im leaning twards Kantor so I get that +1 Attack bubble and orbital bombardment. I should also mention im taking a Sternguard troop with 8 models.

Personally, I like Pedro Kantor. You get Stubborn with both, but Kantor is ideal for lots of Sternguard because of HOLD THE LINE.

Lysander has a neat benefit with bolter drill, but he's pure melee, so you're lacking synergy between his equipment and special ability.

Kantor is cheaper, has much better ranged capability(assault 4!), has the orbital bombardment(he's a Chapter Master after all), still has a nasty powerfist(though Init 1 hurts on ICs), and if you take all those sternguard, any around him are getting 3 attacks! As an ork player, I hate the thought of dealing with the dakka, only to assault and get hit first that many times. At higher points games(2000+), you can field 18 scoring units! Not the most competitive, but honestly, what a pain!

I like Lysander.....he's just overpriced, IMO.

Lysander is better to run with termie lists so he can have a unit to hide in/support.

Cantor is the better choice for your army.

That makes sense. I ran with Lysander the last game I played because I thought his bolter drill was for all units. Thanks for the input guys
