I have been basing my orks using pva as bondage with the mini and base. The surpricing part is that pva is really strong. I have only broken two orks (out of 30 something) and both of them had custom poses with only one leg hitting ground (no pinning). I've even glued my kff mek (metal) with pva using only the pin that came with the mini (5mm long and 2mm thick pin on the leg)

This is the glue I use http://www.kiilto.com/fi/rakentaminen/tuotteet/?product_group=1&prod=115 I also have used other glue brand but can't remember the name.

Here is a pic how I base my orks (I let the glue dry overnight):

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

An odd thing I've noticed too (might be related)

I use an old vallejo modelling paste. It's a weird ciment like thing that dries and looks likes sand. I've left minis on top of it while drying just to make sure They had a stable surface to glue on later. After they dried I found out I had NO NEED to glue them. They were perfectly attached to their bases.

I did this years ago and the miniatures have never came off their bases. It's better glue than plastic cement!

Well wood glue is designed to be stronger than the wood it connects, so it makes sense that its strong. However one of my friends accidentally glued a miniature to a table with spilled beer... protiens, go figure

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Hmm I thought that you needed some sort of rough surface to allow the glue stick. And as far as I know plastic is smooth ie I can easily rip of the sand I have glued using pva to the base.

Try scoring the model's feet with an exacto, gives it more surface area to stick to.

I know but that's the weird part I didn't score my orks feet and they still stick very well.

They are ork feet
They may look smooth but you just can't see what might actually be going on down there.

Probably best not look too closely! Ewww
Might not even be the wood glue causing the adhesion but just the noxious oozing nasties from the Ork

Odd.....
This has happened to me as well, I left a mini on a table I was basing, and it is still stuck there.... now one of my squads only has nine marines

I used the following application

Superglue
Cork
Superglue
Base

My Bloodthirster (metal) is glued this way, no pins and the only time he's come off the base is when I've ripped him off to rebase him. He's tumbled to the floor a few times, no harm done.
