That number isn't a coincidence...

They hunt and kill mages, vampires, witches and magicians, so 'XIII' and 'Iscariot' are fitting for them. Better than Fate/Stay Night's 'Burial Agency'. Those guys are borderline heretics, seeing as they use magecraft to fight the same enemies; and they can't even do it right. The best they can do is seal them away; Section XIII actually destroys their targets with extreme prejudice, and they do that without resorting to heresy.

Who? Section XIII? Actually, when not out hunting and killing monsters and heretics, Section XIII's agents run an orphanage outside of Rome. Well, Paladin Father Alexander Anderson does, and he's quite popular with the children there. Come to think of it, most of Section XIII's agents were his students at one point or another.
