Everywhere and Nowhere(Tigard, Oregon)

In the Grey Knights Codex, one of the upgrades for the Brotherhood Champion is a digi-weapon, which allows him to re-roll a single missed close-combat attack. However, the Bro-Champ already has a special rule that lets it re-roll all missed attacks. The rule book says that a die can only be re-rolled once, but it also states rules in the codex supersede it. So, do I get an additional re-roll or did I waste 10 points?

You can't re-roll a re-roll. the digital weapons are useless.

For the codex to supercede the rulebook rule on re-rolls, it would have to specifically state that he can re-roll a re-roll.

Just giving him two different ways to re-roll something doesn't do that... it just gives you a choice of which one to use, which makes no practical difference in game terms.

O.K., thanks for the clarification. I didn't honestly expect it to be the case(would be nice though), but I thought it was kinda weird that it would have something uselessly redundant like that.

Hmm I thought Digi weapons let you reroll a single failed to wound, not to hit.

Correct. The OP has it backwards, but the crux of the argument is still true. Digi-weapons grant a single reroll on a To-Wound roll in CC, but the BroChamp already rerolls all To-Wound rolls in close combat.
