I have a Grey Knight army and am looking and trying to decide on what my second army should be. Please answer to my poll and tell me what you think.
The 3 or 4 that I have put as specific choices are the 3/4 that I have been leaning toward but am still not 100% sure.
The 4 armies that I am definatly not doing are: Tyranids, Tau, Eldar or Dark Eldar.
I know that doesnt leave much but lol thats how its gotta be, please reply thansk alot in advance.

PS: Please leave why you say a certain army if you don,t mind so I can hear some more info about the faction.

I think it'd be kind of ironic (in a good way) if you played Deamons;failing that, Orks..

Always go Ork as a second army. They liven up painting drudgery and cast a more 'comical' light than the other overly grimdark armies.

I could hardly afford the small force I own much less a second one.

I'd go with IG simply because Imperial Guard looks cool on the table. The Imperial Guard has such a unique feel on the tabletop when you see them being played.

I am obligated to say orks for pretty much the same reasons as the resto of the posters said. Comical's, easy to paint, fun to play and of course we be da strongest an' we be fight'n

Sorry, gonna throw another wrench in the gears...but it seems like everyone is playing IG, or CSM, or has a Ork army. Not that I have anything against that but if your going to build a second army why not do something real different. Personally I would build Necrons as they are coming out with a new Codex so it will be new out there and yea people will say you BW jumped but so what they could say that about you playing GK. Play what you want but I think the new C:Necron will be kickazz and if you want to play something evil play Necrons. Although I do think playing the Daemons would be hilarious!

Daemons. I dislike horde armies.

I'd say daemons, just because there really aren't enough daemon players.

Orks! They are a fun army opposed to the grim dark of the rest of the game, they have wacky models, and you can always field a good army based on your preferences.

Orks! You have already gone down the daemonic route (so to speak) and maybe a change of mindless violence might be refreshing! Although in saying that, a daemon/chaos army could be useful as you will know where their weaknesses are etc. I suppose it depends whether you want some fun or be a wee bit more serious!

I voted for IG, mostly because they are likely to be a very different playing experience then what you are used to with grey knights.

But ultimately, you should pick up what looks like the most fun.

Voted for orks because you said definitely no eldar. Orks are a great army to play and have ( in my opinion) some of the best fluff.

Go with tau they need more love, you can explore more themes with them, because they are not as popular as the other races people haven't put as many themes into them, you can make evil dark tau or even do something like


and make a whole army like this, using bits from other races etc

I know you didn't want the tau but they are a fun army to play and I see why you cant make them very you in an artistic sense.

I'd say go chaos to turn the table around

Irony would be CSM/daemons. I also play GK and chose to supplement it with IG/inquisition tanks for large scale apocalypse games, which we love doing here. My friend plays CSM and is picking up daemons and guard to convert as traitor guard. You should do an army you like though. After I get everything I want for GK n IG I'm prolly picking up Orks cuz they can be extremely cheap to play lol.

Do something thats not similar to what youre doing now.that means no sm, csm, sob, etc.
I would say go orks. Theyre fun, and not half bad on the table.

Ok, so I have decided to go with orks, now I have to get some, if anyone wants donate that would be great cuz I have 0$, guess this wasnt the best time to start a second army, thansk for the help everyone

For pretty much the reasons people have already said, though I would argue that even though they're rather comical, they can still be pretty grimdark if you want them to be. I still like thinking of mine as the barbarian horde at the gates, waiting to knock down the Imperium

Failing that, go Daemons.

I'm going to have to go with Orks too.

My reasoning is you've got one low model count elite army already, so a horde would be a world of different challenges.

Also I *hate* the catachan models, or more specifically their enormously muscled arms, but that's just personal taste.
