Thanks all for a great time!

Edit-Forgot to mention, I have some pics on my blog in my sig. Mostly the games I played, though some from armies during the display time. I'll have more pics up tomorrow.

While I didn't care for a few of the missions it was still a real fun weekend.

Grats to all the winners. The prize support may not have been amazing, but those trophy plaques looked simply badass.

Haha, I can say it was the most fun I've had getting my teeth kicked in.

Congrats on the win. At least I can say the last game I lost against the overall winner. Takes some sting out of it...

Haha, the irony of it killed me! Christian should have beat me, but hey, I guess I am just a nice guy!

And Thanks, Doug, good to see you guys as always.

Two people got the same number of votes for player's choice, how'd they decide who won it?

Reece I was stern but fair to my opponents . Thats why I got such low scores.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that three Manticores (if thats what you were rocking again Chris) annoy people less than just about any Wolf build out there, whether its stronger or not. Plus Reese has tons of personality and tends to not bring full frontal male nudity cheese (in my personal experience).

Was painting factored into the scores for Grand Waagh?

Thanks for getting the results posted from this years event. Looks like everyones favorite drama queen from last year brought yet another Blue Table army to the Grand Waagh (Grey Knights) with him but at least he didn't win anything for it. Grats to all the winners.

Army appearance (painting) was the tiebreaker, I think.

I think Reece had a better game plan, fun AND fair. Events with soft scores always means you got to put a friendly face on.

@phazael
Christian thinks tri manticores are so last season! For the fall, he's sporting 6 hydras!

@spireland
Thanks, although I honestly didn't play any differently in this event than any other. You should always be curteous to your opponent, even at ard boyz. I think the game is more fun that way.

Haha, classic. That's not why they gave you low comp scores. Maybe it had to do with your 6 hydras, or your 20-minute long shooting phases.

Ah, I see. Poor Pablo... This explains why he lost to those fantastic looking Orks.

Reece: "Pablo, we all voted for you for the player's choice award."
Pablo: "Whatever, I don't care."

Hard to see why he didn't win player's choice

+1 A competitive environment is cool, but if the people you're playing are just absolute jerks, then it just doesn't matter.

That true my shooting phases took so long that game. Im not sure why that was maybe because it was so fun to destroy his whole army

Haha, so true! We thought it would make his day to get voted player's choice, but apparently it was no biggie!
