I play blood angels and I am wondering what to put on my Razorbacks, Assault cannons or LasPlas (Lascannon w/ Twin- Linked Plasma gun)? I am not tailoring just want to know your guys general opinion.

Las plas is like the only way to go. if they get a weapon destroyed you are still left with one.

and if i rem correctly you are a fast tank so you can move 6 and fire both weapons. might as well take advantage of that =P

If you take just the assault cannons, you can move 12" and shoot just one weapon - in this case, your incredibly awesome twin linked assault cannon. If you want the squad to be more of a backfield objective grabber, las/plas sounds good. The long range of the lascannon is great too. If you want to get stuck in, assault cannon all the way.

The question is do you need more anti tank, or do you need more horde control with possible light tank killy power?

Las/plas is almost always better, especialy for BAs. Lasvannons can threaten vehicles across the board, and the plas will chew through marines and termies. Being able to move 6 and fire everything is great aswell.

I've been playing around with the TL assault cannon Razor and I like it quite a bit.

Don't forget that with the rending rule you can still pen AV13 and AV14 with some lucky rolls, and being TL means you're usually rolling 3-4 dice to pen.

Meanwhile the 4x S6 shots chew through most infantry.

For BA you should go with the LasPlas since you should be fireing both weapons quite frequently. For other marines it depends on the roll. Do you want the razorback to sit in the backfield or do you want have your razorbacks in the midfield. Ifyou do then you are often better of with the TL-AC. The AC is always better than the Lascannon vs any armour.

Well I have listened to all your advice but In my army list, it is practically a anti- Tank list.

Well if you already have lots of anti-tank go with either the AC or HB. You can still take out tanks with the AC, and it's good vs. hordes with the multitude of shots. Or go HB cause it comes standard, and is good against hordes.

Use both! You did say Razorbacks, plural! Love the TL-AC razorback though. I think the TL-AC is like a baby Baal pred.

See I think the range of the lascannon is mitigated in this case by the fact that you are fast. So your assault cannons are essentially 36", which is honestly close enough to 48 for me. Plus the assault cannon does almost as well as a plasma gun, getting more shots, and with rending, its close to AP2.

So I guess it comes down to, do you want specialized (las-plas) or general (TLAC). The choice is yours, and yours alone.

My vote is TLAC.

LC considering you mentioned it's for anti tank purposes

You don't want to be running 5 man squads in a Razorback towards the enemy, and Razorbacks being armour 11 are pretty easy to 'weapon destroy.' I would say las/plas because it gives you the option of staying 48 inches away (even if you choose not to take it) and it requires two weapon destroyed results to render it useless.

I take Lasplas razorbacks for the sentimentality... and an excuse to use my old razorbacks... and because they look cool.

But to be honest try them both out in a game and see which you prefer, the internet may say it is better to take Lasplas or TLAC or whatever but in the end it should come down to your personal preferance not someone elses.

I'd leave the Assault Cannons to the Baal Preds, TL-LC or LC/PG is my prefer weapon for Razors.
