pretty standard mech list. This can do really well but just watch out if you go up against a sw long fang list as that will eat av 12 for breakfast. Idk how objective based your tournament is but you might want to consider a 5th vet squad for objective holding insurance. You could drop all the autocannons on your vet squads except maybe 1 or 2 as these guys should be maneuvering towards objectives/targets. Sure the 2 Str 7 shots are nice but if your going to standstill and expose the vehicle to assault you might as well pop a lascannon shot at BS4. I find having 1 plasma vet squad packing a lascannon ideal for camping an objective in your deployment zone. Id keep the rest purely assualt weapons. If you wanted to try something fun that can be deadly try a melta vet squad with demolitions doctrine out of one your birds. Outflank and deny your opponent the luxury of staying hidden in a corner, etc. I run a similar list with 2 Leman russes as opposed to the hydras and I find it pretty effective against almost any list out there so GL and happy hunting.

I agree with godzilla. I don't like them all having autocannons. They don't mesh well with meltas. You need to be close to use the melta so you have to move. Which means you can't fire the autocannons. I'd drop them and try to get in another melta vet squad. 4 troops won't do much if you run into certain lists. Especially if you have 5 objectives or like the ard boys semis where terrian could be objectives. At this level I try to get 6 squads usually at the expense of the psykers.

Not bad but I'm going to echo the current sentiment by saying that you really should have some more troops. The heavy weapons make these guys more expensive then they need to be. I'm also not a fan of the manticore so my advice is to drop these. Now you have 200 points to play with.

4 Hydras is kind of a lot of Hydra...especially considering you're running 3 Vendettas already and they go after more or less the same targets anyway.

Only changes I'd make are drop 2 Hydras for another Manticore (then you have 2x Hydras and 2x Manticores), and the autocannons from the Melta squads. Plasma squads do very well with autocannons, so keep them. This leaves you 10 points to dump into the PBS and get another Psyker in there. Voila, 1850.

I have no idea how ACs and LCs 'go after more or less the same targets anyway.' To me, there is a big difference between AV 12+ and AV 12-. Sure, after AV 14 and AV 13 stuff is down LCs can 'slum it' to AV 12 or less. Then yes, they would shooting at the same stuff.
