Hi, do you guys on the forums have any comments on how I could make the list better.
I was going for a mainly Boyz army without sacrificing too much anti-tank.
Colour sceme is Red and yellow. This will be my 2nd army after chaos.
Most torneys in NZ are 1750 points. So help building on this list would be great.Thanks

Red and yellow is evil suns. Red things go faster.

Drop the battlewagon. It is a huge target that will be blown up. Then you have no chance of making the tankbustas work.
If you drop the battlewagon and bustas for some more kans then you'll be in business. You may still need some nobs as a deathstar unit.

That is my view anyway .

Kan wall or green tide both work pretty well (your list could do either with some changes).

Kan wall you want to take 9 kans (and 2 KFF big meks) and place them in front of your hordes of boys. Your opponent then has to deal with 9 AV11 walkers charging towards him with a 4+ cover save and granting a 4+ cover save to the boys behind it.

Green tide is basically as many orks as you can get pointwise combined with Ghazzie, snikrot and maybe some other kommandos to stop your opponent deploying against the back edge.

Both lists are hard to deal with due to the sheer number of bodies, hope this helps.

If you're walking up, use shoota boyz, they will do better 9/10 times. If the regular boyz are in trukks, make them slugga boyz. Also I recommend getting rid of the tankbustaz and making them lootas instead. BS2 Rokkits are pretty awful, not to mention 24" range.

Get 10 more lootas and make sure to convert the meks to lootas so you get 10 deff gunz (you might already do that) the possibility of having 45 str 7 shots is awesome. Also 3 more Killa Kans w/ Rokkits would be good to get a bit more anti-armor.

Well, it's already been said, so I'll reinforce it:

You've got a serious Green Tide or Kan Wall list building right there.

1. You boyz should all be shootas, it's better when footslogging.

2. The battlwagon is out of place. At 1500 points you should be fielding 3-4 wagons if you're going to run them. A single battlewagon will stand out and be focused on by anti-tank.

3. The deffkoptas would work best for you as suicide koptas. TL-Rokkit Launchas and Buzzsaws.

So, if you drop the battlewagon, the tankbustas, and 5 boyz from each unit, you've got 305 points to play with. For 150 each, add two units of 3 killa kanz w/rokkit launchas. Take the last 5 points and the 135 from your 3 deffkoptas and replace them with two individual suicide koptas.

You'll have a big shoota you need to remove, but I'd drop all 3 for a nob w/BP, and try to find points for a PK as well.

Okay, building on it to 1750?

Drop the battlewagon and tankbustas. Swap the koptas from 3 to 1 suicide kopta. Add a PK/BP nob to the unit lacking one. Add another KFF Big Mek. Drop some boyz as necessary. Add BP's to all your boyz units.

P.S. The battlewagon has too many big shootas on it. If you move, you'll get to fire one, or none, so 4 is overkill. BW's do well with armor plates and deffrollas, but they're a bit contradictory for a gunwagon anyways.

What is the point of suicide deffkoptas?

I forgot to add that all the boyz groups have bosspoles.

Why is it suicidal or why use them that way?
The koptas have scout and have turboboosters.
If you have first turn they turbo across in their scout move. Then in your turn fire rockets and get into cc with the landraider/predator with autohits. You have 50:50 on whether the S8 rocket hits then a 3 s7 hits. If it works out then this is an awesome move, you can just fly to the tank you want dead.
Unfortunately this leaves them in melta/rapid fire distance with the meltas having nothing else to shoot at. So they will die. If they do not they may able to use their S3 buzzsaws in the enemy's turn but tends not to happen.

Even without the first turn the turbos give you a cover save though you could instead outflank.

Orks need tank killers and to justify their price koptas need to kill tanks straight away so this is the choice move. Otherwise consider buggies or kanz.
