I also have some Eldar here (well one right now haha) with 5 more swooping hawks and 4 harlequins hopefully coming in I want these too look really nice with blending, washing, hazing etc. So tips or anything will be appreciated.
You have done an excellent job on this guy! I love the color choices! The green on the gun could use some brighter highlights on the sharp edges IMHO. I really like that you added white makes it really pop. I see some thin spots in the white that you might touch up. Maybe a bright pink for the eyes to make them stand out? In all I really like the blending and highlighting that you have done already!
For me I think that a few things stand out for me on this model.
The first is that I love the blue!. I think that the highlights should be a bit more curved on the wings to try an add further shape and effect for the wings. I like the green but agree with depraved that a further highlight is needed, even if it's only to match the depth of the blue.
I also think you should use more of the yellow on the model A gem here or there or a redo of the eyes would help break up the colours a bit more.
This sounds like a lot of negative but I think it i a great little model that is painted well above table top standard already. A great place to start from. Consider me subscribed.
After not being able to paint for a bit, I finally found time to work some more. So here are some more shots, with another eldar almost done, and two more swooping hawks on the way! Comment on quality, tips, etc. please. Thanks!
