I'm looking to convert from AoBR Deffkoptas to Warbuggies, and I was in need of wheels. The Trukk or other GW wheels were a bit pricey on eBay, so I went looking around for alternatives. I found threads here (and elsewhere) recommending wheels from Ramshackle Games, and I ordered one of each kind of wheel that they sold.

The wheels they offer are priced very cheaply (you can find them all listed in this section of their site), and I was able to order a set of each, and two sets of #4, all shipped to California for ~$12. Delivery took a while, maybe 3 weeks, but I'm pretty happy with what I've received.

I haven't seen any comparison pictures of the wheels for scale, so here are some pics...

From left to right, #3, #1, Ram Stoat, 2 sets of #4, and #2.

Here you can see their relative thicknesses. Sorry, it's in a different order:

And, here you can see the backsides:

For the price, I'm really quite happy with them. Most of the casts are only single sided, which isn't really a problem, just something of note. The casting for the #2 one is pretty poor, compared to the picture on their site. It shows rivets, but on the ones that I received, you can't seem much of a rivet.

They are all smaller then current Trukk/Battlewagon wheels, but larger than bike wheels. Compared to the old gorkmorka wheels, they're larger than the fronts, and about the same as the rears.

The material their are cast in is very hard and brittle. Akin to a hard candy. It's shatters when snipped, or cut with a hobby knife, so you can't really sculpt it at all. You can clean it up, though.

Overall, I paid ~$12 for 23 wheels, which is enough for ~5 buggies. So, with those plus ~$10 for sets of 3 Deffkoptas I'll be able to basically make ~6 buggies for ~$33 (not counting plasticard/tubing, bits, etc). Not bad, considering actual GW wheels seem to go for >$1 each on ebay.

If there's anything else you'd like to know about these, ask away!

Also, anyone have any experience with Ramshackle's Boneyard Trukk for use as a Battlewagon? I've seen a pick of one that someone used, but they seem just a bit small. I have three GW BWs, but I figure I could use ~3 more, and at 9lbs each, they would make a great alternative to the GW models...

This show's a close up of some of the casting problems:

I have browsed ramshackle several times, its dissapointing to see so many poorly cast pieces. Interested to see how they look once you get them cleaned up and attached to a vehicle

I underestimated the size of their Mudwhumper wheels when I ordered some recently:

Not sure what I'm going to use them on yet although I'm considering taking an old Gorkamorka trukk and turning it into a ridiculous monster truck or similar.

Wow! Those are enormous! You could just use them as rears, and use trukk wheels for the fronts.

Or, you could do some sort of reverse trike, with one big wheel in the rear, and two smaller in the front. Hell, you could use the skids off the deffkopta and do something that looks like a snowmobile!

Thanks for the info.
Has anyone ordered any of their tracks and I want to have a tracked chasis on a dread (left-over defiler bits from the FW nurgle soulgrinder)?

Cheers again

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I bought some of their tracks, "tracks #2" to be specific.

Here's a close up of them on my Ork trak scratchbuild:
