Using a Basalisk as Three lobbas? Just because I like the model, I can show the Crew and the like, and make sure It's properly denoted.

Friendly games I probably would, provided it is not a straight Basalisk but a pretty damn good conversion due to the obvious difference between six Gretchin with three cannons and a tank.

Would likely be better off using the tank as a base for a looted wagon or battle wagon in my opinion, just to avoid the complaining that will come up from time to time.

As for tourney legal, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooope.

Couple of things... you'd have to have a way to track destruction on the 3 guns and crew independently. Other than that the footprint of the basilisk is probably about the right size for the deployed guns and crew (I've got some of the old models... they seem about right.) You'd also have to nominate 3 points on the tank to be the actual firing points on the guns for range purposes. And yeah... probably not acceptable as a tourney proxy.

If you actually pulled it off well enough, yea Id play against it. Keep in mind youd have to properly show when a gun is destroyed, and crew that died and so on. As far as tourny goes? Nope, that would probably not happen

In a club... sure, as long as you weren't abusing the advantages it gave.

Like what advantage the Possibility of me not being able too split it up? The fact its harder to find BLOS for.

I would have three shells Magnitized to the Wagon to represent each Lobba so take away a shell to represent that. And the Grot crew also with Magnets to denote the crew.

Basilisk as Killkannon BW. Sure, with modifications.

Basilisk as a mixed infantry/artillery unit. No.

It's really hard to figure it out as far as shooting/assaulting goes. Use it as a looted wagon with a boomgun.

Its quite easy. You can assault wherever the Model is which covers more area. The only possible advantage would be the longer barrel which in 500P the 2" won't make a difference since they can cover the Board.

For shooting you can shoot at it if you see Its gun platform IE everything but It's gun.

It's not far away at all. The crew are there the Lobbas are denoted. Your Devestator thing is Infantry changing into a Tank. Thats far out. Mines Artillery changing into Artillery since the Basalisk is effectively an Artillery unit.

Basilisk is a vehicle unit. Vehicle does not equal artillery. Artillery is a mixed vehicle, infantry unit. Doesn't work for me.

It's a cool idea. It would be better to use the baslisk gun and the grots to model an earth shaker platform diorama. As for tournys it would be up to each organizer. So be prepared for some to let you and some not. Though in reality it would be better to use it as a looted wagon with boom gun and grot riggers.

The one tricky thing would be if the "unit" was hit by a blast maker as there would be no way of determining how many hits the unit took, you'd just have to say that if the blast maker touches the vehicle the entire unit is hit (or maybe half, rounding up for a small blast marker and the whole unit for a big blast marker). It's a horrendous disadvantage, but there's really no other way to do it.

Or just all the Grots under the marker If its crew or all the Artillery pieces If they roll for them.

It doesn't matter If they're shooting at it they're dead anyway, still got 50 Boyz.

Sp It's a disadvantage all for one reason of a Longer barrel.

And It would look awesome. I'm sure GW wouldn't mind it will cost more than the Lobbas.
