Looking to try wyches as my CC army as I love the models and their lil boats

at the moment this is around 1400 i think though, any suggestions to make it better/smoother would be great

I'm assuming you're putting each Haemonculus with a squad of wyches, right?

If so, gear those three up for some CC. Scissorhands, other CC weapons, make them beasts.

That, or 3-4 Wracks as a troop choice in a venom.

For starters, I disagree with the above poster - the purpose of Haems isn't to join Wyches in assaults, it's to give Wyches FNP and then sit around flaming stuff while the Wyches assault stuff.

I will say, the big glaring hole in your army as I see it is...Lelith, unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lelith, I think she's a lot of fun, but she has some hardcore competition, consider this;

Lellith vs. MEQ

11 Attacks - 7.3 hit - 2.4 wound

Agoniser and Shadowfield Archon vs. MEQ

6 Attacks - 4 hit - 2 wound
- has a better save
- Costs, what, like 60 points less?

It's a tough place for Lelith to be in, because...well, are her other abilities worth those 60 points? Depending how competitive you wish to be, I'd seriously consider that debate, since 60 points plus your spare points is an entire additional unit you can bring to the field at no discernible weakening of the list.

I'm more concerned about the low model count; 39 models is incredibly low for Dark Eldar, as is the number of Lance shots you have (16).

Don't get me wrong; I'm not advocating that as a legitimate strategy, but it was the only thing I could think of as to why they were only taking 8 wyches. And if you're gonna do it, you might as well. But yeah, Thor's 100% right.

Thanks for the Mathhammer on that, even I was considering Lelith at one point. Good to know someone can do it as equally well for cheaper.

One thing I will say, though, now that I think about it, is Night Shields on your Transports. It could very well save your ass, especially concerning trying to get those CC troops on the field.

I'd consider a cheap Succubus w/ Agoniser over Lelith if you want to retain your Wych Cult feel. Literally half the cost at 85 pts..

Throw in another unit of Wyches for 1500 pts. Highly recommend razor flails if you can afford the wych weapons too. You may have enough points to stick haywires on one of the squads as well for some flexibility in multi-assaulting vehicles+weak troops...Stupid IG

I agree with Thor. Lillith is the biggest thing I'd change here. For a CC army I would either suggest an Archon or if points allow, Vect with some Incubi or Grots. I'd also look at giving those Wyches Haywire Grenades.

I'm on the bandwagon here, as sans Lilith, this is nearly my 1850, just trimmed down by two Trublaster dakka Venoms.

Take her out. Her points this could be spent on 4 more Trublasters and another venom, 12 SplintCan shots.

I'm not on board with wyche weapons.

Haywires? If your local meta has kan walls (unlikely after some FAQ, I've heard) or lotsa dreads, then I'd give the girls haywires. Following my advice would give this list 20 DLs at 1500, so maybe HWs aren't needed. I do have 'em on mine, though.
