For the price, and the models being unpainted, I'd say it isn't worth it.

Are you a good painter? If not, there is absolutely no point for you to buy Dreadfleet. Game play is limited. If you want to invent your own rules to accommodate other figures, may as well spending the time on Battletech, Federation Commander, or Dystropian Wars or wait for Leviathans to come out.

Have to agree to this. Probably I like it so much because I'm thrilled to paint the ships, and don't mind taking 2 months to have everything ready and play the first game. For those who rather focus in the game side of the hobby (especially those who play with barely painted or sometimes not even primed minis) it might not be very appealing.

I'm mainly a painter so gotta love it
