I had this one little query reading the "Doombreed" thread below.
We know some Daemon Princes come from Mankind's turbulent past, "Brutal dictators and bloodthirsty warriors" being explicitly mentioned in Codex: CSM.
While the line could apply to Khorne and, to some extent, Tzeentch, we've got two Chaos Gods left. So my question is: Can Nurgle and Slaanesh grant daemonhood to significative individuals from our past as well? Any chances of finding some "Andy Warhol, daemon prince of Slaanesh" out there?

Theres absolutely no reason why not I just think the fluff for it is very common and all, saying that Fulgrim is a daemon prince by default due to his sword containing a daemon and possessing him, so theres one slaaneshi daemonhooded fella

Possible but unlikely; Warhammer 40,000's writers have generally avoided concrete links to recorded real-world history.

Slaanesh only became self aware a little before the Great Crusade, so, no, it has no daemon princes from humanity's past. Nurgle probably does.

Back in 2nd Ed N'Kari was a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh and fought against the Emperor on board the Vengeful Spirit along with Doombreed.
N’Kari was born on an isolated, backward world which has been trapped in the center of a violent warp storm for millennia. The Chaos Powers have repeatedly attempted to conquer this planet, but have so far been foiled by the uncorrupted peoples of the world. N’Kari rose to prominence during one of the Chaos Powers’ many attempts to conquer the planet. He proved himself a dedicated follower of Slaanesh in countless battles-and the debauched and disgusting revelries that followed them-and was rewarded by Slaanesh with the gift of Daemonhood. Along with Doombreed he was one of the two Daemon Princes that fought against the Emperor when he boarded Horus’s battle barge, and he continues to serve his daemonic master to this day.
Now it has been retconned to a Keeper of Secrets.
Bubonicus and Foulspawn are Daemon Princes of Nurgle.
Each of the four powers has a Daemon Prince on the world of Eidolon in the Eye of Terror.

Foulspawn was a chaos spawn not a prince it only survived by eating flesh and living things.

Yup my bad, was looking at this Daemon Prince page http://www.angelfire.com/wv/pimp/daemon.html which has him listed as a Prince. He's in the current 'dex as just a spawn so should have remembered that.

In the 2e Chaos Dex, "Daemon Prince" seemed to be a less specific term.
For instance, M'kaechan was both a Daemon Prince, yet also always has been a Lord of Change.
And Foulspawn is also a Daemon Prince in the codex, despite being essentially just a very powerful Chaos Spawn.

Slaanesh, I don't think so. As mentioned, the Lord of Pleasure and Pain didn't manifest during what we as players consider "history." Nurgle, on the other hand, could very well have recruited human beings to serve him.

Nurgle's as old as the most ancient race we know, so yeah, I think it's a safe bet that many an ancient warrior trying to survive succumbed to his plague and got zombified to a daemon.
One person who springs to my mind, funnily enough, is Edgar Allen Poe. I mean, after all those stories of death and disease, you'd think he was trying to come up with some backstory GW could work off of in the distant future! (Also, anyone else find Corax too gimmicky?)

Mortal time does not matter in the Immaterium. Slaanesh is both older than the stars and only about 10K Millennia old. On another note, I think I have found the perfect 'historical' figure to be a Daemon Prince( ss) of Slaanesh.

Slannesh could have Daemon Princes from humanities past due to time dialations, but its unlikely.
Humans just arn't extreme enough.
You need a species that is capable of feeling excess in an extreme way. The Eldar were perfect for this as they were highly psychic. I would imagine Slannesh has quite a few Daemon Princes that were originally Eldar(nommed in the Fall)
I also imagine that the oldest Daemon Princes would also have to have been the most debauched of the lot. A new god can afford to be picky.

I think that every god has daemon princes from human history like Khorne having Ghengis, Tzeentch having Bismarck, and Nurgle having, IMO, whoever weaponized chlorine. Slaneesh is definitely the hardest because I agree that most people aren't extreme enough but there has to be someone in history who has sunken to the true bottoms of depravity and warranted Slaaneshs' eye

For Slaanesh, I can think of one: Ed Gein. Look him up if you want to know why since I don't think I should post it on the forums.

Slaanesh could have Daemon Princes from our time to previous. He/she could find the soul of such a "worthy" individual adrift in the Warp, having died thousands of years ago, and then give it a Daemon Body.

I don't think Ed Gein quite fits the pleasure category, I feel like it would be someone like Hugh Heffner or Ron Jeremy

Not if those guys are already dead. Only people from 000.M30 onwards would be able to become princes of slaanesh.

The souls of most Humans dissolve once they enter the Warp. Generally, Psykers can hold themselves together for longer, but then they are vulnerable to Daemons. If the Shaman of old felt that they would no longer be able to reincarnate, I highly doubt that a soul would be able to survive unprotected inside the Warp for over twenty thousand years.
