Playing around with potential army lists for mid sized mechdar games. Came up with a few possibilities I think are fairly good and thought I'd run them past people with a bit more experience of these sorts of things.

The first thing that struck me was - it's amazing how much you can cram into an eldar list this size if you drop almost all of the shiny bits. There was another version of list 3 in which the second falcon was replaced by a night-spinner and a wave serpent for another one of the dire avenger squads. That's 7 falcon hulls floating around at 1500 points.
I really like the look of list three, although I'm slightly concerned it doesn't quite have the raw killyness another squad of guided war walkers (list 1) or a pair of fire prisms (list 2) could provide. And what would I do with the last 35 points? Vectored engines for one of the falcons?

um ....... none of them
eldrad expensive but THE MAN - in 1500 i prefer the genaric to save points
5 man DA squads SUCK against anything with good armor (8 W/doom would be the least you could get away with)
the old SL vs SC - basicly if your going to close in save some points and take SC - move the points to more DA
Prisms !!! love them guide on the opening turn is awesome with them and holo fields GREAT choice!
war walkers are good with your setup being charge into your enemy their outflank can be dodgy though
just some things to think, anywich way you got not a bad mechdar list

Take #2, but swap the scatters one one of the DA serpents for EML and use that as your farseer's ride. The EML is so that range doesn't become and issue when you are hanging back with the walkers/Prisms. It's a 1 unit low on troops for my tastes, but you should be ok with the extra fire power.
On the comments above *facepalm*. The DA won't get getting out of the serpent, they are just there to get the serpent and make it scoring. SL vs SC is not an age old debate, SL are the way to go unless you are desperate for points.

theres no way all the trasnports can make up enough fire power to kill an army and with a little but of positioning all the str6 is going to help against armor your going to have to get out and shoot or watch your WS die round after round. not to mention your prisms get harder to use once you close in. IF you opt to stand back and dance around waiting for the end your going to be reduced to slag in no time its not hard to out shoot SL WS and drop the FD before they get close

Welcome to Eldar, if you are going for a tabling then you shouldn't be looking at mech Eldar. There is enough S6 shots there to whittle down any force and the Prisms are there to do the majority of the mopup.
Scatter pops Rhino, Prisms blasts the contents that fall out, rinse repeat. I've played similar lists a hundred times, it works.

#3 for sure, as the other two rely too much on the Fire Dragons (who are vulnerable) to destroy tanks.
