So, in the WoC book, you have the option to equip your warriors with GW or Halberds. Except, the box set for your warriors comes with neither of these items. Wtf is up with that?

Not a first for GW. Tons of units have options that don't have models.

Its so you can convert them yourself. and they get to charge more for what you want.

Frankly, you should just buy Chaos Knight lances off of E-bay. They look much cooler and nobody uses them as lances.

I second that lances look cool and you can get em on eBay for cheap.
Gw are not that great for warriors because asl :(

As others have said, the lance bits from the chaos knight box are an awesome and easy conversion option; no one uses them as lances.

Plus, you know, paying sculptors, designers and artists a living wage, and all the other things which go into running a company. But I'm sure you think Jes Goodwin doesn't deserve to be paid.

Not to mention that GW produces their models in the UK and US, so they're actually a first-world manufacturing company.

I'm all for paying those guys, and yes they have the right to make a living, but if GW lowered their prices they would sell more, more people could get into the hobby. Hard to convince my freinds and family to get into a game where they are going to have to put up $200-$300 just for a 1k army, book, rulebook, dice something to transport them and so on. If the prices were 40% lower I would have more armies and be able to convince more people to give it a shot. At that point the designers have been paid, the sculpters paid and so on and all they are buying are more cardboard and plastic maybe some new molds, but the design is already paid for at that point. So you price them 40% lower and sell twice as much. As for me I'm done pumping money into it, if it were cheaper I would get new armies just to play different ways and paint and model new figures.

Don't turn this tread into another one about GW prices.

As for the weapons,it's not too big of an issue to get the halberds from GW,I got the sonic weapons from them be cause there is only 2 in the Noise Marine box,that was really bad.
