Hi guys, I recently started painting Eldar, and would like some criticism on these Swoopings Hawks, as well as any tips you can give me on painting smooth surfaces and highlighting these. I'm not really used to the slick style of the Eldar (having only painted more "scruffy" armies like Imperial guard and Skaven).

Thanks for looking!

I think you have done a great job on these as they are. Eldar armour is hard to paint, and I dont have any pointers to take you beyond this, just thought you deserved a thumbs up for them. The white look very clean and smooth.
Good work.

The armor on that black and white guy needs something. It just too blah as it is. Highlights, shading, whatever, but I think you gotta break up that white a bit.

Like the color choices you went with. Unique for Eldar swooping hawks.

Thanks for the nice comments I agree on the Exarch being too white, and needs some breaking up, any suggesting how to shade white without ruining the color?

Although in color I like him how he is, breaking up the green of the rest of the squad, it also makes him stand out as an Exarch should.

Ill try to get up some more decent pictures when the squad is finished.

White and black are very hard colors to work with/shade. You've done a very nice job with these.
