Can anybody look at these and tell me if they could be put on a Dreadnought?

I know they're hellishly expensive but I can stomach it.

I don't see why you couldn't put them on a dreadnought. It just might take some more work for you since those bits are metal. I would get the Tornado Assault Cannon and not the Terminator one because its easier to convert.

You know the basic dreadnought comes with an assault cannon, right?

Those old metal Terminator assault cannons would look way too small on a Dreadnought, IMHO. Just grab the actual Dreadnought ones off an eBay bitz seller, it would be much easier.

What these two wise men said.

Either order directly from Forge World, or shop around on ebay for the regular one. A scratch build through those expensive bits that you posted will cost twice as much in the end and won't look half as good. That's 1/4 value by my math...

Best of luck.

I think the Terminator one is a bit too small. Anyway, it would be extremely hard to get it on because it is metal. I'd go with the Forge world and online bits seller solutions

If you're just starting out I wouldn't mess with the Forge World part yet. It's resin and will require work to make it presentable. It's also designed to fit the resin MkIV dreads from FW and not the plastic kits. Sometimes they fit right and sometimes they don't . It also costs 7.50 GBP.

You can get the plastic one from the normal dead kit from a bits site. The warstore in the US has it for $7.99. Bitzbox has the plastic dread assault cannon for 3 GBP.

Here's another thought: how do you feel about converting? If you have the Ravenwing box set, or have a friend (or use the swap shop), get one of the assault cannons from the land speeder. Cut off the end of the melta gun, sand off the fuel canister and affix the assault cannon parts in the proper locations (including ammo canister). You would only use the barrel portion of the assault cannon, not the whole end that attaches to the speeder. I did it, it looks good and isn't an expensive option. Takes about 5 minutes to put together.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

The terminator one is TOO SMALL for a dread.
Hell, it's even too small for a terminator these days.
The Tornado ones are (barrel cluster anyway) around the same size as the plastic dread assault cannon I have.
