Everyone has a piece that they poured hours of time into, I like to think. So long as you like painting them, of course.

So, what piece do you find yourself longing to paint again? What army would you keep buying pieces for just to paint them?

I personally spent a lot of time painting my Abbadon and Daemon Prince. I loved doing it, and plan to get another of each of them for the sake of making them better, then giving my old ones off as a gift to a friend.

My favorite army to paint is the Eldar. I love the sleek look of their armor and vehicles and how well they look in bright colors. Hawk Turquiouse, ice blue, and sunburst yellow are my favorites.

Eldar and chaos sound like fun. Eldar for painting and chaos for converting. So many ideas for converted daemon princes!

I am having lot of fun with my Warmachine cryx, all black gloss and gold. And pretty much anything Infinity is fare play, beautiful miniature range all over.

I've only ever painted Space Marines and Orks (yet), but I do know I love to paint Space Marines scouts, especially with sniper rifles, they're just so much fun! Very simple too, but they've got a lot of character... I probably need to start an IG army some time because I like painting human faces and anything soldier-like.

Also, just noticed that is the exact "rank" underneath my name atm haha... XD

Atm its Chaos Marines and the odd Tau for me. Both are pretty easy to paint but allow alot of room for blending and the likes(which I cant do).

Just bought the Fantasy Khorne Lord model which I'm really lookin forward to painting along with the rest of my Chaos stuff haha.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Dwarf assembly can be quite fun, as there is a bunch of converting options.
Painting-wise, I really love Nurgle Warriors of Chaos, with the right mix of paint, everything just slots in to place for a wonderful miniature. My attempt at Khorne on the other hand, well, lets not talk about that.

Dwarves-about 2000 points, most unpainted. Kill me now.

Yes, I play Dwarfs. Yes, I have a hoard of treasure and live in a mountain. And yes, I am shorter than nearly all of you, STOP TEASING ME!!!

Excuse me but dwarf assembly? Are we talking the same nearly-monoposed dwarfs? I find it very limiting when 70% of the bodies already have one arm attached, even disregarding the fact I can't even move their heads!

Back on topic: I love kitbashing and painting imperial guard, mostly the tiny little bits of gear here and there, I still suck at anything more organic.

Also, painting dwarfs. A lot of fun. I especially enjoyed the banners, freehand doodling runes is always a nice challenge.

I would love to paint some Eldar. I spent a lot of time watching my friend starting his eldar army and everything looked so sweet to paint.
I've liked painting my orks so far. Constructing and painting my warbikes was a lot of fun.

To talk, Tau are brilliant to paint. I got a good colour scheme too, black with yellow cloth and yellow markings, you know fust little dashings of yellow here and there.

I really enjoy painting vehicles, I've got a land raider; I honestly spent hours sitting there painting it, very fun!

As for armies, well, I'm a bit of a noob, so I like painting Space Marines... Painted a couple of Orks and a plague marine, that was epic fun.

In your wardrobe, looking for Narnia.

I am having a lot of fun painting my new skaven. I am trying to paint them all in different fur colours/patterns so every rat is unique. It's a real challenge to keep coming up with new combinations and it really helps keeping me interested.

I agree on that. It's what I have done since I first started painting. I'm kinda of moving into painting a different scheme. I just would like to find a decent colored primer first.

I'm currently having a lot of fun painting my Warmachine Menoth army. I just finished working on the Space wolves and if I never paint another SM model again I'll be a happy camper. There is just something about SM that is just unfun to paint.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

The new Dark Eldar infantry for me. I love the armor the combo of dark and bright colors is epic as well as the job gw did on the models. So many details so little time.

I love painting tyranids and demons. Somewhat so orks. Had a blast with skaven. Basically organic shapes, curves, not a lot of hard edges.

For some reason I play marines, though. Argh.

It's spelled "cavalry." NOT "calvary."

I always seem to enjoy whatever I'm painting at the moment, which is my space marine apothecary. It drastically needed a facelift.
