Can anyone please direct me to resources with image examples on how to do shading and highlights for the darker skin tones of humanity (e.g. from Turkish to Hindu to Zulu)?
Thanks!

I have taken to painting a dark green, then 50/50 dark green-dark-brown, and then brown on top, wash with mud to get the really really really dark skin tone down. It looks odd, so I reccomend you run a test before settling for anything.
By dark green i really do mean dark green, you want it to be pretty near to black.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from. |
