IMO, GW are selling miniatures way too expensive. I mean $39 bucks for a single, metal Draigo model no bigger than a fist? it is crazy! I think GW should make everything 1/4 of their point cost on the codex.

E.g
A 10 man squad of GH costs 150 with no upgrades, make the actual cost $37.5

So, what you are really advocating is GW increase points cost by 400% in each codex?

Points in a codex will never be tied to the monetary cost of a product. The monetary cost is tied to design, marketing, sales projections, manufactoring, and profit needed to keep the business running and shareholders happy.

GW is a business, they are going to make a profit or fail. If their products are too expensive for you, get into another game or hobby. There are plenty of alternatives out there.

Lower point cost per troop type = more troops needed to fill list = more profiet for GW

Never going to happen, though makes you wonder if the price will drop on SoB when they eventually become plastic.

I think it more likely they keep the price the same but include more options for the figures.

I would try and be a bit nicer here. There is legitimate concern regarding GW pricing and not everyone got on the bandwagon for the price increase complaints the first time around. Some are finding out now, others are getting disgusted later on it seems as well.

Maybe true, but the opening post shows a lack of economic or business understanding judging by the provided solution.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

On seeing the subject title 'GW price drop' my initial thought was; "Wrong forum, this thread belongs in Dakka Fiction".

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

OP, use ebay, swap shop, and online websites. Only buy from GW if it's direct order only, and you can't find it anywhere else.

Also pick up some salvaging skills.

Now watch as the hobby becomes slightly cheaper.

Agreed. And, anyway, here in the states Grey Hunters are 37.50$

Like I said, go buy from Dicebucket Games. It's got the American Prices.

Yea I just started looking at their site the other day, and their prices are pretty good to boot.

Also, OP you should change the thread title or something, its a little misleading. I came in expecting GW to actually be having a price drop, which admittedly made my heart stop for a moment

Sides if you really cant stand their prices, youve 2 options. Start playing an elite army like GK, and stop playing Horde armies. OR stop playing tabletop games, because they are ALL pricey.

Nope, other TT games in Aus seem to have the same price they do globally. It's just the GW ones that are overpriced.

Find a good FLGS to get into some other game or go for the few online retailers that can't be affected by the embargo.

Haha right, I had to look out the window to check that the sun was still in the same place and gravity was still functioning

GW is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world though in regard to prices, especially in Aus, they've smashed their opposition to the ground there is no-one that can even come close to them. Privateer Press have made a go of it more recently, but GW fought back with a masterstroke 1-2, a price rise on top of the switch to a cheaper material, which I think PP will struggle to come back from.

They are not all expensive, things such as Infinity (for sci-fi) and Maliflux (for fantasy) are much, much cheaper. There are many other options out there, don't give up wargaming!
