I am pretty excited. Though I would love to see them do a full expansion for Tau as a fully playable race.

1 complaint I had was that the commander wasn't using a special battle suit (like from dark crusade)... oh well thanks for the update BTW I thought they were done with DOW2

Death Korps character pack? I do hope they also add in new voices then.

Sweet, looks fun. Too bad I dont really play DoW2 anymore, much less Last Stand, though that will probably boost the number of players for a short while. Might pick it up, if only to relive my Dark Crusade days of nuking hordes with my Tau Commander.

Word Bearers DLC sounds quite interesting, though I'd also love to see a Space Wolves pack.

Word Bearers are an odd choice considering the popularity of Thousand Sons, Iron Warriors, and some of the more popular legions. Very cool stuff though; the Tau commander looks awesome.

Agreed, though I think that the troop choices and such within the game fit a Word Bearers army perfectly.

Although I thought game wise they're done with DoW2? DoW3 is already in the works I heard so if we're ever gonna see a full Tau army, it'll have to be in the next game

I doubt they'll put a full tau army into DOW2, unless they think they can make a quick expansion on the cheap before the sequel comes out...

IIRC, it's a halfway step between the current, chunky Stealth Suits and a Crisis Suit.

Yeah it is pretty repetitive.
Ok, so the campaign is 60 hours...of the exact same missions over and over again.

Hey, THQ, remember dark crusade? Remember that risk style map that allowed you build your own empire? That was a good thing. Why do we now get this repetitive faux-RPG crap, where you can never really lose?

It's almost like the game isn't meant to be played single player. OH WAIT IT ISN'T. Dawn of War II vanilla and Chaos Rising have good campaigns, but Retribution's isn't very good. The multiplayer is awesome though. Also, THQ didn't develop it, they published it. Relic made it, and they also made Dawn of War 1 and Space Marine.

BTW what does DLC mean? Do you buy DoW Retribution and download this add-on for free, or is it something you buy extra or instead of DoW Retribution?

After looking at the video several times, I'm a bit peeved the movement animations are very static. I still appreciate they made it XV8 armour though.

If this were free it would be great. But I bet it will cost more than the stand alone TLS game mode. Will have to wait till xmas for a 50% off sale (which they're offering now if you haven't gotten the other stuff yet).

I hope the word bearers pack somes with a Blood Thirster reskin to the great unclean one.

Because it's more like 5 hours. It's fairly short, and unless you play every single race you're not going to get much campaign play out of it. Even if you're bad at the game, it's not like you can lose unless you're trying to. DoW2 vanilla and Chaos Rising had a lot more attention on the single player, and their campaigns are a lot more fun, and more challenging. Multiplayer in Retribution is the best in the series though.
