Is it true I can throw my own guys around, I don't mean throwing them around the house, I mean throwing them over enemy models. For example, 2 BlackHide Wrastlers throwing each other around, and then take it a further step use the Animus to rise the other wrastler? If this is true how is this done basically the steps taken to throw there own models. Does the model that was thrown by its team mate suffer damage, I know they become knocked down, but I am not sure of the whole procedure of throwing one another.

Wrastler A declares a Two handed throw against Wrastler B.

Wrastler A attempts a melee attack agasint Wrastler B. (It helps if you get backstab bonuses by starting in the back arc) Assume it hits.

Wraster A rolls 2d6 +str. Wraster B rolls d6+str. If A>/= B then throw is successful.

Pick target to throw at. Lets call him Poor Schmuck A (PSA). PSA can be up to 1/2 str away from Wrastler A. With Wrastlers, this is usually 6".

Wrastler A attempts a melee attack against PSA to see if PSA is hit. If successful, PSA is hit, knocked down, and takes damage of str+2d6 of Wrastler A.

Wrastler B can, because he is a Wrastler, either attack PSA from his knocked down position then use his animus, or use his animus and then attack. He could also, use his animus, move, then attack. Wraster A could have also used his animus on Wraster B during his activation and that would have allowed Wraster B to charge.

Wow, 2d6 plus the strength ouch the guy getting thrown could also get hurt in the process of being thrown.

Careful. Throws stop when you hit the same size model. So you
can't throw a Wrastler over a wall of 'jacks, for example.

In Wrastler throwing Wraster, you are doing the 2d6 +12 against an armor value of 19, so "on average" you won't do anything. At most you will be doing 5 points, so its not huge if your Wrastler is undamaged to begin with.

I had a buddy who used to slam his models on a regular basis; he was a pretty aggressive player and it would help him out somehow.

You can also take a Feralgeist, run him up the board--then throw at him. Backstrike + Wrastler MAT = usual hit. This allows you to throw non-Wrastler Gators (Such as Barnabas or Snapjaw) without fear of a drift outside of 6" for the animus.

Can you make an attack roll against the Feralgheist? I would think that
Incorporeal would prevent that.

Sure, you can attack Incorporeal models as I understand it--you simply cannot damage them. If you misjudge badly and your 6" (Half the Wrastler strength) would take you past the Geist--then you won't be able to Animus--but you would have to plant your Geist pretty close to mess up like that.

As it is, you just run your Geist 6ish inches in front of Barnabas, have the Wrastler throw him with a back strike bonus---then Animus him up. Barnabas then activates and can charge whatever he needs to (Including through the Incorporeal Geist).

It's just too bad Being Thrown is considered an effect of an attack---else I would be popping Maelok's feat, then double hand throwing my Beasts through jacks for caster kills.

Ahh but that brings up an interesting question. If you grant Magical Attacks to a model, could he then two hand throw an Incorporeal model through other models?

No. Power attacks don't take on the effects of the weapon.

Question:

Since the Angelius and Seraph are Serpentine and can not be knocked down, does that mean a Carnivean can toss one to add threat range on the angel?

I.E. Carni double hand throws Angelius 6". Angel can not be knocked down so it now activates and charges...?

If you slipstream the angel first, then throw thats an additional 8" threat...

AH! I read the rules. It still must forfeit its movement or action.

Damnation...

Or just use eIrusk and pop his feat if playing Khador. The Fenris fastball special is always fun.

Even if you're immune to knockdown, you have to sacrifice
movement or action after being thrown if it's during a turn
in which the model will activate (or something like that).

A Fenris fastball special would only work if you landed him in 2".

Doesn't the feat Grimtuff referring to make you stand up? So chuck, feat and activate normally.

Yup, you immediately stand up, so Fenris is Knocked Down after being thrown, eIrusk activates, pops feat, Fenris activates and can act normally.

Epic Irusk doesn't really help though if you're playing Legion.

I have ad great success in throwing the commodore cannon. I once managed to line up a shot that got 5 bastions in the spray, *ouch. Also, when an enemy is not available as a target, there is always that poor seadog/press ganger with his back arc to you...
