Hi, Dakka. Now, I just had an idea, and wanted to know if it would work out, fluffwise. Now, does Chaos Genestealers sound fluffwise? Just Chaos Undivided?

I'd say no. Nids in general leave very small imprints on the warp, and they also have that shadow in the warp thing foing for them. You also must remember that genestealers tend to lurk in space hulks, but never really become infused with the stuff of chaos.

So...yeah i'd say it wouldn't work fluff wise, but don't take my word as fact in this situation.

Probably wouldn't happen, but it's a pretty scary thought.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Back in the ancient days of Rogue Trader (1st Ed 40K), you could have Genestealer Cults. Sometimes these Genestealer Cults would find themselves intertwined with the forces of Chaos. This would lead to Khornate Genestealers.

I’ll let you think about how much more dangerous a Genestealer would be when dedicated to Khorne.

It was only one Hive Ship that the Iron Warriors captured and infected with a Warp disease.

Thank you all. So, H.B.M.C., when were these Genestealers corrupted by Khorne?

In the Space Wolf Omnibus there was a space hulk inhabited by 'Nids who were corrupted. I don't think they were truely Chaos 'Nids though.

I think it could happen, the nature of Genestealers cults means they would often be in conflict with Chaos cults for recruits, weapons and other resources if the both operated out of the same world / city. But I think they work together if needs must or if one grew more powerful than the other and forced control over the other. And a Chaos cult that just gets randomly infected by Genestealers would be cool. Or how about a Dark Eldar Genestealer cult? Even more uber!!

They represented a terribly insidious threat to the Imperium, infecting it from within and spreading like a virus. These Genestealer Clans could also become "Genestealer Cults" by worshipping Chaos. Such Chaos cults included Beastmen, mutants and daemons in the army.

bull, genestealer cults do not become genestealer cults from worshipping chaos. they are merely the advance force for the Hive Fleets that bring down a world from the inside out so that the nids dont have to waste biomass taking it themselves.

since all the cultists in a Gene-cult are psychicly controlled (im pretty sure) by the Patriarch, turning to the Chaos Gods is never an option

You waited two weeks to post this? It's not exactly threadnomancy since the thread isn't that old, but it's a really weird thing to bring this thread back to share.

Older than dirt, lol. Back when 40K was still awesome.

I think it's from around 1990 or so.

I loved my Genestealer cult, even though I never play it anymore. Even converted a Brood Lord model to replace my older Patriarch. Used to play it in small points tournaments back in 2nd Edition. But the fluff behind it is way, way out of date and I don't think you can consider it canon. That picture is actually from before the Genestealers were definitively linked to the Tyranids in 2nd Edition. But their aims are entirely different. Tyranids eating a planet they've been summoned to by Genestealer cultists doesn't really advance the cause of Chaos.
