Here's the deal. I'm making my way over to the States next year for Adepticon, and me and Alpharius have decided we want to make a themed team for the Team tournie on the Sat. However, we're two players short. So essentially, we're looking for two players willing to join our team, and build/already possess armies with the same rough theme as ours.


The theme we're going with True scale Marine heresy forces. Alpharius already has his rather nice Alpha Legion under construction for the event ( as can be seen here:- http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-search.jsp?u=123 ), and I'm planning on constructing a thousand points of True scale Thousand sons out of chapterhouse, forgeworld, and various other company bits, like Scibor. In terms of codexes, we haven't quite settled yet, but I'll probably be using the Grey Knight codex for the Thousand Sons, according the Adepticon crew, 'Rule of cool' is in effect, so we shouldn't take a hit on army composition.

So if you're interested, let one of us know! Note that it doesn't HAVE to be true scale traitor marines, it could be something that fitted in with that theme, such as Dark Mechanicus, or Traitor Guardsmen. Maybe even a well done Chaos Daemons force!

In fact, having a 'regular human' component would be really cool!

Not so much 'traitor guard', but more like super extra secret Loyal Guard, just like the Legion!

If we can't muster up the other 2, well, COMBAT PATROL and KILLZONE it is then!

Looks like an excellent idea chaps, but pending both a divorce and/or a lottery win I'm going to rule myself out otherwise I'd be all over it.

Have you considered using the Tyrants Legion list fton IA10 for a guard/SM combo list? Might reduce tue number of true scale marines you have to make and Basilisks + Marines = win IMHO.

The Team Tournie rules might not allow IA stuff.

Basically, we're looking at 4 1000 point parts of a team.

Ketera and I could handle the True Scale Marine thing, if people didn't want to go through the process of making them.

Of course, if they did want to, that's OK too - and would work in the sense of a "Traitor Legion" theme.

As previously suggested, a 'Dark Mechanicus' "counts as" (IG?) army, or an Imperial Guard force (or two) would also fit nicely.

Good luck gents. It took us two years to finally get DD2 off the ground(and we've only been able to pull off the 2 years we've shown up by expanding to about 6 members), so here's hoping you can pull off a DD3.

I'd love to put my hand up and make it an international Mod team... but it's a bit of a swim.

It looks like we've got 3 out of the 4 necessary team members!

But, we need to secure the 4th soon.

Once the Adepticon cart goes 'live', this event sells out quickly!

Plus, I'll need the time to plan, assemble and, gulp!, paint the 1000 points!

Dam if I knew about this a year or so ago I would have made an Alpha Legion loyal Elysian force. . . . grrr. . . .

So it is in April. . . Hmmmmm that would be doable actually. Where is it going to be? I might be able to make it, and I have a bit of points for my Elysians (not painted either. . . ) 1000 points eh. I would love to make a "Traditional" Alpha Legion, Elysian force. I could even make it an Elysian ship board force. . .

By this rate, in 5-6 years, it'll be nothing but Dakka teams at Adepticon.

So I looked at the website, I could not find the rules for the team tournament for 2012.

Am I missing something?

The rules for 2012 are not posted yet.

A search for the 2011 rules will yield results, and I don't think the rules will be changing by all that much, if at all.

Especially since you can get in to watch games and even purchase stuff without buying a registration. You only need to Register if you plan on doing events(at least that's how it was in 2010).
