I have played a couple of 1000 point games in a small tournament a few days ago, so I think I can give some tips.
I have my doubts about your bsb; taking a special standard cancels out the option to take other magic items. the unit with the bsb is going to be into combat, which is cool, except when your bsb comes into combat with any other character (and if the unit stays out of combat, it is a waste of those awesome hitting power of the saurus). Only having a 3+ save isn't going to keep it alive against any combat character. One of the pros here is that if you lose combat, you're unit is going to hold it. But when you had chosen a scar-vet with 40 points on offensive gear, you would probably have swung the combat into your favour, meaning that you wouldn't need to test. So I would use the vet as general, not as BSB. (In the small tournament I attended, the best player (who also ran a lizardmen list) had a saurus oldblood with the burning blade of chotec. Just saying)
I also don't quite grasp the choice for the diadem of power on the priest. If you want a defensive build on the priest, keep him lvl 1 with either the diadem of a dispel scroll. If you want him offensive, just keep it lvl 2. My personal experience is that a offensive skink priest is awesome with the plaque of tepok. With 3 spells you have a really good chance to get the comet of cassandora or chain lightning, which have (especially in my games) a dramatical impact on the opponents army.
All in all, it is a balanced list; I wouldn't be happy to face two saurus blocks. And since I'm not that experienced, you don't have to follow my tips, it's only my point of view.
Good luck!
