Is there a lot to clean on them? Are they in pieces and you have to assemble them? Do they come with standard GW bases or do you have to buy those separately?

I finally got a copy of the game on the way and want to prepare for working on the models.

Not alot of flash, mold lines are in some inconvenient places on the termies sometimes. They're in pieces for most of the models, but for the most part, not like the standard terminators, some of them are like 2 pieces, some are 3. No they don't come w/ bases & if you wanna base them you may wanna trim & file their built-in base off first.

Or magnetise the model onto the base, so you can use it for both 40k and for Space Hulk.

The new edition? Yes, most of them are in more than one piece, although assembly is vey easy, most don't even need glue. Cleaning off flash etc is no more difficult than usual.

Certainly you need to think about where you'll use them - if to play both Spacehulk and 40K then magnetising them would be a good idea. A lot of work to do well though.

From what I know, its a great kit, but you will have to drill out the barrels of the guns and there is some flash on the gene stealers that is at times noticeable. Never seen it in person ( ) so I don't know.

I guarantee you that I'm not really as smart as the test says:

What's been said above is all correct. A few pieces each, not the standard termie part breakdown.

I have put my figures together, but I have not painted them yet.

They are the same size though so you can swap some of the bits with regular terminators.

S has been said before, the terminators are very different from standard ones. Their pre-posed, and are two, maybe three pieced. Converting them to be anything other than Blood Angels may prove difficult, as they have a lot of extra little bits molded into them, and the red plastic is not as forgiving as the grey plastic of the standard kits.

I turned them into Imperial Fists quite easily actually, just more ornate armor. The red plastic is pretty hard though by comparison to the standard grey plastic. If you want to put a good amount of effort in combining them w/ regular terminators they can look very different if you have more than one set.

If you do modify them, you must paint them or else they look awful.
