Hey folks, quick question for you veteran players/modelers.

I'm very new to the game, and have only ever bought 2nd-hand models. I acquired 4 old-style Rhino bodies a while back. I think they are called "MK1". They are noticeably smaller than modern Rhino bodies.

Anyway, I made a post on several trading sites that I was looking for a Predator turret that would specifically fit that small Rhino body. Someone responded, and we're getting very close to making a deal. I just got a picture of the turrets and sponsons he has available:



I was expecting a "bubble top" turret as seen here (the Rhino bodies in these pictures are what I have):

Will the turrets and sponsons my potential trade partner has fit my Rhinos? This obviously is crucial information for me before I make the trade. Thanks for your help!

The 'bubble' turret was the original Rogue Trader version.

The turrets in your picture are the 2nd edition version. It used the same rhino chassis, just with different turret and sponson pieces.

So they're the right turrets, but there is also a metal top plate that you need... this fits over the top of the rhino hull, and includes the turret ring for the turret to sit on. You can see it on the green predators in this post.

There was also a bubble turret in 2nd ed for the predator annihilator kit. The predator destructor came w/ the box turret. This was back when there actually 2 different patterns of predator that had their own profile & points cost rather than being able to mix & match weapons like you can now.

The 2nd edition bubble turret was metal, just to make that clear.

It (metal 'bubble' turret) was also in the 2nd ed Baal predator kit.

There are two metal pieces needed for a second edition predator. One is the engine deck which goes in place of the rhino doors and the other has the turret ring and goes in front where the two small rhino hatches are. I know I have spare engine decks and probably a turret ring if you need them, I relocated the turrets rearward on all of my old predators.
