"but remember infantry under her command aren't immune" Um.. why not? I guess they are meaning not immune to free strikes... but free strikes is a melee attack (page 51 in Hordes mkII, "The model makes one normal melee attack"), so... her feat should make things immune to free strikes. And of course sitting with Saeryns card and reading "by melee attacks"

Or is there an errata that is around? Can't find any.

Battle college shouldn't be taken literally as it has many mistakes. Partly as it's a wiki, partly because people are just writing down the gist of the rule and thus confusion reigns.

Saeryn's feat is something like 'models in her battlegroup cannot be targeted by melee attacks'. You've got the right idea in that the feat means that free strikes cannot happen but the word battlegroup has a specific meaning. It's Saeryn and her beasts only.

Idiotic commentary like is in the Ret Battle Engine entry where he fought the law and the law one (on a equally idiotic problem) doesn't help either.

Saeryn loves her beasts. Its not often that I take many (if any) infintry with her. She does very well beast heavy and with minor infintry for support purposes. Her feat is really strong and can let her battlegroup NOM NOM the enemy for turn turns with little to no retaliation.
