What is the best heavy support option in 40k. Is it an SM land raider crusader, or a Tyranid trygon . In my opinion it is the IG baneblade. What does everyone else think?

Hive Fleet Hydra 5000

In the end everything is devoured, its only a matter of time...

Imperator Titan.

They don't get much heavier.

Well, technically Titans aren't Heavy Support. They can only be used in apocalypse, which doesn't use the FOC.

Armed with 72" Str 9 AP 1 large blast.

Can move and fire a str 7 large blast.

Oh, I know about the lack of Titans in a standard 40K table-top force. I might model an Imperator and name it "Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Battle"...

... but, still, my point stands. Titans: It doesn't come much heavier.

And my point still stands about memes being mightier than titans

If you're counting titans you can count squiggoths.

Squiggoths are big, but not, you know, ten-story building big.

We're talking about a single Heavy Support option here.

We have a winner! As a single tank, obviously.
I prefer melta guns purely for the melta goodness. Obviously in practice you're far better off with plasma (or none at all really) but a leman russ with TWO added multi-meltas just makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

Ever thought 40k would be a lot better with bears?

I know. I was just commenting on his "EVERYTHING I TOUCH DIES" comment, as 45(?) plasma shots will kill everything it touches.

That's a tough one. I'd probably give the nod to any of the GK land raiders, if we can include the librarian. Otherwise, probably have to go with the Leman Russ squadron.
