Subject: Help me decide Ogres or Beastmen

So my local GW is doing a Mighty Empires campaign. It's the first phase which is 750, no lords no bsb allowed yet. I started Beastmen my newest army but they really don't get good until 2k when I can start packing in herdstone and shaman spam, also a cap on duplicate rare and special choices so a limit on my razorgor until I conquer more tiles. The campaign scales to 2500 after 250pt increments every 2 weeks. I lost big to some Skaven, really good Jezzail shooting and warp flame thrower did not help. I lost again hard to WoC. I have Ogres sitting around and am thinking of jumping ship for them. They would be more competitive throughout the campaign. So my pros and cons.
Beastmen
Pros
-No one else is playing them
-I get comments from people saying they have not seen them play
-Not as big as worry against Purple Sun/Pit/Dwellers
-Access to Shadow Lore
-Really going to improve on my overall skill due to having to really strategize
Cons
-Not as competitive in lower point levels
-Limits on Lords and BSB is really hurting me right now, no Beast Banner no GBS
Ogres
Pros
-My first army I love them but shelved them as before the new book and the new edition they lacked in lower point games where I usually play casually. The whole must have this unit to have that, and have a general either a bruiser or tyrant was really restricting as I prefer caster generals at 1500 and below.
-I have a ton of stuff only need the book and firebelly to start later will pick up mourfang
-More competitive, not losing is fun
-Been a while since I played them new book so new fun and toys
Cons
-I'd be switching after the first week which some may look down on
-One other person is playing them possibly 2 if the GW manager plays
-The big pass or die spells

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

You'll have Dakka split 50/50 on this... I would go ogres, buy that's me suffering from shiny syndrome... Reckon you should stick to beasts as you're familiar with their current rules and what have you, you nay suffer at first but should do better in larger point games

People are saying Beastmen because they smoke crack. Ogres are by far more diverse. More fun. More awesome.
And at low point games, you will absolutely smash your enemies into pulp. The only hope for a lot of armies will be magic. Or the chance they can try and get you to break, no BSB.
But equip a Bruiser. Grab a Mournfang or three. And say "I WIN!"

When I first picked my army I couldnt choose between beastmen and orges. I went with Beastment cuz I think they just look cooler and are more fun. Granted I havent played a game with them yet. lol I only play warhammer40k right now but I have been reading up lots of Fantasy and have about 50 guys in my beastman army!

Ogres: You can just make a huge DIABEETUS army.
Beastmen: Unless you have a maze handy, minotaurs just don't seem as fun.
Personally, I like the Ogres better, but that's purely a visual thing. I think a honkin' big army of Knoblars with a few really fat dudes makes for a hilarious looking army, but I have no idea what they play like, personally.
I'm actually regretting getting Skaven a little, after looking at sheer amount of mice I have to paint. :/ Ogres seem...so much easier.

Thanks for the input all gave me something to mull over. I really like my Ogres, but am leaning back to the Beastmen, I don't want to be that guy who bails and I think I'll overall be a better player at the end of the campaign since I'll be forced to you more tactics and less let me just charge and destroy, not that there is anything wrong with that.
