I think I have finally finalized my 2500pt list:
2x Chaos Sorcerer, MoS, Wings, Lash, MB
2x 5 Noise marines, BM, 1x SB, rhino, icon
2x 7 Plague Marines, 2x MG, AC /w PF, CM, rhino /w CM, icon
1x 10 Khorne Bezerkers, 2xpp, SC /w PF, icon, rhino /w extra armour
3x 5 summoned lesser daemons
1x Summoned Greater Daemon
1x 5 Chosen, 4x MG, AC /w MG, rhino /w CM
2x 2 Oliterators
1x Vindicator /w daemonic posession, dirge caster(had leftover points and I've found the vindicator good to ram with if it gets WD)
2497~
Any comments or criticisms? I think I have all the bases covered!

295 points spent on lesser/greater daemons its not really all that usefull IMO i spend that on more troops or expanding your heavy weapons with more oblits or even a loaded up havoc squad. aside from that its a nice balance list

The daemons have to go. Three midget units of five isn't going to do much that chaos marines can't. I like the rest though. What is the purpose of those Noise marines? pew pew out of the rhino?

They are a troops choice so they can hold points, they are armoured and the BM provides an excellent small template weapon. Also because both the BM and the SB can be assault weapons they can move and shoot. The shooting also gets more dangerous the closer you get to it. As for the daemons it's maybe being misunderstood how they are used. I use them in a purely tactical sense. -I have the ability to summon them to any squad in my army without scattering. -I can use them to reinforce a unit that has been hit hard. -I can use them to help overwhelm and turn the tide in CC. -I can drop them off with a rhino driveby to hold a point. -the greater daemon can be used to dump a monstorous creature on the table to distract and clean up whatever the Chosen haven't finished dealing with when they die. Because they do die almost every game. 2 more oblits or a single squad of CSM aren't really capable of that. If I had to choose another unit I would probably go for a second squad of Bezerkers if I could squeeze them in. For me the ability to have 8 troops choices and 3 HQ choices is one of the few advantages the CSM have over other lists. I do however very much appreciate the feedback as I haven't even gotten much in the past!

I'm not a very very expert with Chaos Marines, in fact I never played them seriously but I played many many times against them. After a quick look at one of the lates tournaments we made in my flgs here a 'ard boys list a freind used with some positive results. HQ - DP - Wings - MoS - Lash. 155 HQ - DP - Wings - MoS - Lash. 155 TR - 7x Plague Marines - naked Champion - 2x Plasmaguns- Rhino. 241 TR - 7x Plague Marines - naked Champion - 2x Plasmaguns- Rhino. 241 TR - 7x Plague Marines - naked Champion - 2x Plasmaguns- Rhino. 241 TR - 10 CSM - 2x Meltaguns - Rhino. 205 TR - 10 CSM - 2x Meltaguns - Rhino. 205 TR - 10 CSM - 2x Flamers - Rhino. 195 FA - 5x Raptors - 2x Meltaguns. 120 FA - 5x Raptors - 2x Meltaguns. 120 FA - 5x Raptors - 2x Meltaguns. 120 HV - 2x Obliterators. 150 HV - Vindicator. 125 HV - Vindicator. 125 Extra - SGD. 100 This leave you at 2498 pts. I've played a few very similar lists and have actually done relly well with them, one of them even landing me very tight second place finish. I found better luck with 7 raptors in a squad. 5 wasn't enough meat to stay alive. I find at the 2500pt level DP's get filled full of bullets way too quickly. Eternal warrior helps, but being able to hide a Sorceror in a squad is invaluble. I save DP's for the 1850 and below level. Vind's are great in pairs. once again at this point level not having daemonic posession leaves them very vulnerable. with str 10 / ap2 large blast every shot matters. Other than that the list is pretty solid, only lacking a little in CC. Here is my 2nd place list: -Sorc /w wings, MB, PP, MOS, Lash, Icon -Sorc /w wings, MB, PP, MOS, Lash, Icon -7 Plague Mariines /w 2x MG AC /w PF, CM, Icon in rhino /w combi melta -7 Plague Mariines /w 2x MG AC /w PF, CM, Icon in rhino /w combi melta -7 Plague Mariines /w 2x MG AC /w PF, CM, Icon in rhino /w combi melta -12 summoned lesser daemons -12 summoned lesser daemons -12 summoned lesser daemons -summoned greater daemon -2 obliterators -2 obliterators -5 Havocs /w 4 ML -5 raptors /w 2x melta and naked AC -5 raptors /w 2x melta and naked AC

i like that last list but really prefer termicide to raptors. but i did use raptors to great effect at a gt recently. untill those 6 games i thought them total crap and wrote them off for years. but i had to take them for comp points and it worked out. i love the summoned daemons and they have great synergy with chaos havocs for a surprise objective grab.

hmm i like it the heavy support choices are how i wanted to try and run my next list, question though are raptors 22pts a piece? if so the meltas are only 10 for the both? if thats the case i may look into them instead of termicide. 5 bodies instead of three and they can still DS

i run my termicide a little diff, using personal icons. good for oblits too. but i can definently see the viability of the raptors as well. i also play a bit more of an in your face style.

hmm if you drop a PM from each squad you can get six combi weapons and a TL bolter. i usually run my PM at five anyway, so this could add a bunch of anti infantry and anti tank.

The only problem with that is that I already have all of my squads optimized as far as wargear. I don;t have 6 more places to equip a combi weapon >.<
