Simple question. Which unit can get the highest/best ward save (not to specific types of attacks, but all)? Any 2+ wards? I know Khairos from Daemons is 3+. Lord Kroak from Lizardmen is 3+.

Anyone with better than that? Or any way to make any better than that? Or other 3's out there?

Dark Elves get their cheater reverse ward which can be as good as a 2+(just don't roll a 6 instead of 1). and MoTz WoC can get +2 wards on fulcrums in SoM. That about sums it up.

2+ ward save tzeentch caster on a fulcrum.
3+ ward with tali of endurance on any woc model marked with tz.
Any anti fire ward save is usually a 2+ against flaming attacks.

The reserve ward is pretty sweet.

I kinda like a horror bunker with a Herald and Skulltaker. This gives all the horrors a 4+ ward save, and with Skulltaker's magic resistance a 2+ ward save against magic. Also you have the best challenge fighter in the game (provided his opponent is not packing the Dragonhelm). And you get 20-40 horrors that's 20-40 wounds that can cast some good spells.

Maliketh gets a 2+ against not magical attacks.

Not sure if this counts, by Archeon has a 1+ against magical attacks thanks to MR2.

DE PoK combine with Dragonhelm or Dragonbane gem.

MR doesn't stack with your ward in CC. Or anything that isn't spells, for that matter...

archaon has a 3+ ward just by himself against all the nasty stuff.

as a general unit,

i think any unit in woc can get 3+ ward (assuming using a shrine).
high elves have a 4+ ward on pheonix guard
demons are 5+

i cant think of anything that gets a 2+ natural

Only the Mark of Tzeentch ones, other marks are 4+. And even then means you need to have a result of 12 on the table, which there are ways to help along (wailing banner in unit, eye of the gods etc).

The Slann could have a 2+ ward save against Ranged Attacks for ~30 pts.

Or he could just be completely immune to most attacks period
