1+ armor:
Strength 1 to 3, saves on 2's, because 1's always fail (as in take a wound, not re-roll).
Strength 4 you'd save on a 2+, because S4 is save -1.
In effect, 1+ armor and 2+ armor work the same against anything strength 3 or less.
If you've got a super gear combo that would give you a better save than 1+, it still counts as 1+.
(7th edition allowed 0+, or even negative 1+ saves, 8th does not).
