Well, the time for rumours is past, they're here!

Anyone planning on ponying up the $$ for a Necron force? Does anyone feel that they would have needed more time to plan? Did anyone want to go Necrons, but due to lack of true knowledge of when they were coming, opt for a different army instead? Or is anyone just not bothered either way?

Whats your thoughts?

I actually just started a new army a few weeks ago, if I knew about necrons earlier, I would have held off so I could use my old models. Maybe some time in the future.

Probably will start a small one...

Yeah I'll be doing a Necron army. It's annoying that my two favourite armies have been released so close together GK's and Crons but I'll still be doing the Cron-thang as well as continuing with the GK-thang.
As I can make out atm the Crons will be a ranged shooty army so I'll use them for that and when I feel like getting up close and personal I'll use my GK/I army.
Maybe I'm wrong about them being more shooty but from everything I've read in this months WD and on the net they sure do look lke that's how they'll play. Who knows though, maybe they will have some uber wargear that buffs their CC prowess......yeah right.

I have mine planned out. All I need is a suitable Egyptian God name so I can change any 'c's to 'k's and add in a random 'h' beside any vowels and hey presto, we have an Overlord. What do you think of 'Anhubis, the High Judge'?

I am abotu to fork iout £28 for paladins, so I can finally use the Draigo model I have had since Fiencast's release, the Vindicare, use mty Stormraven in an army that can actually take it, and PLAY GK. I may in future, but next on my agenda is buying up Daemons to start Fantasy, and get new 40K.

Fortunately I already own an army from 10 years ago and just need to flesh it out a bit with some new models.

I just need to know how much these units cost in points first. Looks like I will have to wait for the codex release.

My flayed ones are still relatively intact (just need to replace two for a full squad. Of the ten Immortals I own only four are intact, one is missing the cap of his GB, and the other five are just bodies. I am hopeful that I can get a Deathmark/Immortals box, make some DMs and kit bash the plastics Immortal limbs onto my old metal Immortal bodies.

Looks like I will be spending $200 - $300, and will be selling of heroclix to finance...

Amusing to see this has been shifted, when so much of the general discussion area is filled to the brim with GW discussion.....

I'll probably buy a box or 2 of the new Immortals. Cousin probably will buy the rest of army to play.

As usual I caved and literally got my dark eldar today. However I'm not worried as I already have necrons and it's always good to wait until a lot of the stuff has come out for a while before diving in. will probably get the codex though.

Yes, I've been waiting for their update for a long time.

I was going to start 40k with Necrons around this time last year, but didn't after seeing their rather short summary in the rule book and being advised to wait until the new codex. I ended up starting DE, but will definitely now make my Necron force. They appeal to me now even more than they did before.

I was thinking about, decided not to and just ordered the parts of complete my Khorne daemons instead.

I will be investing in necron's here in the future. I'm finishing up a blood angels army, and getting it rounded out to 2k pts, once I have that assulty in your face army done, I'll be looking at going to the opposite end of the spectrum and putting together a heavy shooting army of necrons.

I can't help but want to do a bunch of heavy converting and building a Stargate based necron army. Maybe some plasticard/greenstuff molding of the gateway with a monolith somehow... oh yes.....

If the new Necron Battle Force contains the new sculpts, im waiting for that :3
