Subject: Saim-Hann Eldar versus 582nd Imperial Guard 3000pt Pitched Battle Capture and Control -Video Batrep
The Exodite world of Fitchburgia had sent an envoy to the Saim-Hann Craftworld to ask for help. The Imperial ‘Monkeigh’s had decided that they wanted to settle the Exodite world and remove its current inhabitants. The Exodite world had been settled over 51,000 terran years ago, long before the Imperial Government had been formed by rotting false god the Emperor. However, they had taken an interest in the planets vast mineral resources and had decided that the Exodites of Fitchburgia should relocate permanently. The Exodite world had a population of about ten million living eldar and a planet spirit the craftworld equivalent of an infinity circuit, which contained ancestors fallen since the fall of the Eldar. The Exodites had a defense force, but not one at the magnitude needed to repel the impending Imperial Attack.
Many craftworld Eldar perceived the Exodite Eldar as backwards, primitive or in the nicest sense quaint. The Eldar of Saim-Hann viewed the Exodite worlds and its people as something to be nurtured and the future of the Eldar race itself. It was for this reason, that many Exodite worlds relied on the protection of Saim-Hann to endure the harsh forty-first millenia.
After the envoy had met with the wild rider families, the wild rider families had consulted the Farseers to get a glimpse of the best possible options for its craftworld to take against these Hoomans. Eiluj the Farseer had just finished his last exhausting glimpse of the possible futures on the skene . A large assault force would be needed to crush the Imperial Guard squad being sent to the planet. If this was not done, Eiluj feared that once the Imperial Guard got a foothold on planet, it would be difficult to remove them when re-enforcements arrived to bolster their already significant numbers. He thought to himself, “how can these ‘Monkeighs’ reproduce so fast? They are like a virus spreading through the blood stream of their infected host. The Warp is like the artery that carries them throughout the galaxy. If only their rotting emperor would die.” Eiluj could waste no more time on such thoughts his full attention was needed to prepare for battle.

This is a Video BatRep of Saim-Hann Eldar versus 582nd Imperial Guard 3000 point Pitched Battle Capture and Control.
Post Battle Story:
The 582nd and the Imperium had been crushed on Fitchburgia and the Exodites of the world were safe. Eiluj was happy that things had gone well and that the craftworld had sustained relatively few losses. The craftworld of Saim-Hann was never stagnant and was ever changing. The next time for battle would be soon at hand, that was something that Eiluj was certain of.....
It was a good game. I only wish I could have put Yarrick down for good.>

Not a bad report but the camera moved too much, kinda sickening... Also I woulds stick with the Heros of might and magic 3 music, the music this time was to loud and distracting...
Awesome board guys, looked like an intense game! I LOL'd that you have so many eldar tanks you can afford to make wrecks!
Thanks for the comments... I will try to reduce the music volume the next time I make one. I also had a camera on a tripod but I did not realize that it had died until 2-3 turn so my intent was to use mainly this camera and use the other camera for closeups... Sorry about that. The wrecks were actually extra Falcons, since I was not using them much, I decided to take a blow torch too them and make them wrecks... will be painting them and basing them. Kind of an expensive way to make a wreck. I got some tops of wave serpents from a bits guy and will make some more cheaper wrecks from those. Cheers.

It was most definitely a fun game, still not sure about the yarrick rule, if anyone reading this knows please say. And dont worry, the 582nd will eventually have their revenge! even though they keep getting stomped lol

I think I go lucky and with the river it made it harder for your tanks to move around then mine as they hover. That darn Demolisher would not die though. I am just glad that Jenkins was not on the field this last battle. I have to admit even though we are Eldar and supposed to be the masters of psychic abilities, I am a little nervous with Jenkins on the field. He is definitely a high target priority... Just like your darn manticore.

Gotta love piles of dead guardsmen and burning tanks. Awesome game, from looking at your list I didn't think you were going to do that good. 3000pts is a hard points level for eldar and you pulled it off. Congrats
I call my piles of guardsmen the "pile of shame". Dont worry, if you ever want an emotional boost for the eldar, watch the batreps between me and elluj, we play once or twice monthly in huge games, lol, and he always kicks the snot out of me, but i will have revenge!!!

Love the burnt out eldar vehicle models... you'll need a LOT of those when you and I play again.
i know, i am definitely getting better, my resolve is as unbreakable as a diamond wearing adamantium armour, lol. The vehicles were completely awesome, this cannot be overstated how cool they were

Thanks for all the posts guys. I have to say... A farseer with a Harlequin squad, hopping in someone elses ride, these guys are a badass squad. I played them again tonight with a practice run for a tournement and they got most of the kill points in the game. I am really having a hard time deciding which I like best my seer jetbike council or a farseer with SS, Doom and Fortune with 10 squad of Harlies in a serpent...
Thanks on the burnt tanks.. I have to paint them yet, but I had some extra Falcons that I never used and with one Decided to take a blow torch to it. I had so much fun I destroyed another one... To make it a little less expensive, I got some tops to serpents from a bits guy cheap and will make some more wrecks with those on the cheap. I am sure games workshop would love it if I melted a few more full tanks... Cheers guys.

Great report again! to bad the 582 lost again :( I feel like it was b/c old man jenkins wasn't in battle with them?
But after losing so many men to the eldar on this planet youd think high command might just try a different plan of attack. Like throwing even more footslogging cannon fodder into the fray! Seeing that giant blob outflank was prob the coolest thing I saw happen in that game, besides so many eldar tanks immobilizing themselves lol
I will...never be a memory

Thanks for the comments... I am very glad old man Jenkins was not amongst the IG, he is a bad ass...
My ability to roll 1's never ceases to amaze me.. The luck of the dice are never with me,,,, this is why I need to play Eldar since they have so many re-rollable powers... Take care. Cheers.

After seeing them tonite in action, i am inclined to think that the harlequins are better. More killy and the re rollable 5++ is pretty decent. Just keep them in cover

I played Harlies all the time when they first came out (and I noticed that Eiluj's harlies are old school... good on ya man!). They were incredibly fun...but then got nerfed for several editions of the game. Good to see they're back to being a functional unit!
Anvildude: "Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to see an Ork vehicle that doesn't look like a rainbow threw up on it."
They are still pretty nerfed, they will never be as good as they were in 1st and 2nd edition, but with a farseer with fleet they do pretty well. In the game posted here the Seer council and the harlie squad did most of the killing, but then my fire dragons, fire prisms, vypers and Wraithlord took most of the heat too, so it made it easier for them. I love the durability and vehicle killing power of my seer council, but man those harlies if only they had a 4up save, I think the rules should be since when they move their holosuits make them look like they burst into a thousand pieces when they move - they out to have a 4 up cover save and a 5up invuln... But that is just my idea... No one else would probably agree. I do have some of the new harlies, but man I think they look like a bunch of real gingers, I like the old school better, the only exception is the new death jesters, they do look bad ass. Cheers all...

What the Harlies need... have always needed... is a proper assault vehicle. Make it exclusive to them... Some kind of modified viper... but give them some way to get across the battlefield at speed without having to footslog it and getting shot to he** in the process.
Yeah, the early edition Harlequins were really fun... they were so good at hand to hand that any savvy opponent would shoot them into oblivion before they got close enough, but God help you if they made it into assault.
Anvildude: "Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to see an Ork vehicle that doesn't look like a rainbow threw up on it."
Yeah in 1st and 2nd edition, they could assault a vehicle on a roll of a 6 their harliquin kiss would slice up everyone inside a vehicle, they were all dead no saves... They could also get their kisses stuck on a roll of a 1 too... Though it had its drawbacks I think weird stuff like that made the games fun. Cheers and thanks for posting...

Back in 1st Edition, they could "salvage" any vehicle they wanted... so I guess you could put them in a land raider and hope you did not break down before you get to the enemy. Despite all the Nerfing... I think that harlies are still a viable unit.

Actually, one of my son's Doom Eagle rhinos was originally painted up as a harlequin rhino... I have left small sections of it un-repainted each time I re-did it. I think it's on it's 4th paint job (because I left a little bit of a "false" Imperial Fist marine paint job exposed on the underside where the Harlequins didn't bother repainting.

I had a rhino and whirlwind that I had painted up in a very loud bright colored harlequin pattern. I actually one a painting contest in Platteville - Platticon back when I was in high school for my rhino.. But I repainted it for my space wolves so it is not as pretty now... Oh well.. My Harlies did well tonight in a kill point battle, they got their transport blown up on turn 2 and since it was dawn of war they had just gotten on it and they still managed to kill 3 kp of stuff in the game.
