Important: Please remember to put the MotM prefix in the format below in your PM's subject field before you send me it!
Here's the November edition of Miniature of the Month everyone, even if it took a few days to get up and running

. I'd like to draw your attention firstly to the entries last month (found here:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/407787.page) which produced a landslide winner, with
petethomas's magnificent Deff Dread walking away with a staggering 107 votes! You can congratulate him here:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/408028.page. But now it's November so we need a new competition!
Entries need to be
PM'd to me by November 28th, 11pm (EST) with the prefix “[MotM]”. Example: [MotM] Chaos Marauders.
UK users -> 28th by 3am.
PST users -> 27th by 8pm.
German users -> 28th by 4am.
Japanese users -> 28th by 12 noon.
You can use any miniatures you want for this - they don't need to be new. However, they must be your own work!
But finally to the main event: the theme of the November 2011 MotM competition is...
Blitzkrieg
Get your fast troops out! For Warhammer 40,000 you may enter any Fast Attack model (or squad)
OR Dedicated Transport - any
DT entries must include the squad that the vehicle is assigned to. For Lord of the Rings, any cavalry units may be entered. For Warhammer, any mounted or flying units may be entered - either a single model, or a full unit. For any other game system, you may enter any model that conforms to the theme of being 'fast'. Units in any game system that use any form of mount may also be entered.
Good luck!
Here's the quick "How To" on mini photography:
Miniatures should be placed against a pale/muted background (preferably white paper, or a sheet, or even in a light box if you have one), with natural lighting. Use the "macro" function on your camera (usually a little flower) and take a shot of the whole thing. If you need to make the picture massive to get the quality of the shot perfect, then crop it in Photoshop, Paint or any other suitable editing software, and then post it. There are no rules on how you may pose your miniature, but as face-on as possible is preferable.
