So I'm back into my Necrons, awaiting next weeks order to come in. I've had the Pylon for at least 18 to 24 months now. Feels good to put some paint down. Pretty simple scheme {thanks to GirlPainting tutorial for the paint combo}. Airbrushed a mix of Orkhide shade + Black in a 50:50 mix. This was followed by lining successively w/ Dark Angels Green, Snot Green, Scorpion Green and finally some ice yellow by Vallejo Model Color.

The Crystal is airbrushed with a base of VGC livery green then shaded down with Snot green and DA green. Then brush Ice yellow on the accents.
I tried to mask it to do the base coat on the rest but I should have added a few extra layers of mask. It is kinda smeared

Wow great work here! The base looks like it is writhing with energy - a look that i assume will be applied to the rest? and the crystal looks just fine from these shots, the smudging certainly isn't jumping out to me. Keep it up, I'd love to see an end product

I like highlights on the base. Looks like it belongs in the matrix.
