I had always assumed they were all the same blue, but while re-reading Rynn's World today, I noticed it said the 4th company had green trim

Do all the companies have trim (ultramarines style) or just the 4th

I'd assume that the Crimson Fists, being a Codex Adherent Chapter, would have trims denote their companies.



I'd assume that the border colours denote that Company's colour, but I'm not sure.

I can't recall where, but i've read that the Crimson Fists don't do that anymore because of the losses suffered on Rynn's World. Regardless, pictures don't show it, but if i can find it i'll cite it...

Thanks. Been wondering since my dream modeling goal is to field the semi-restored (iirc they are back to like 550 in the fluff) Crimson Fists, and I dont know what to do about the trim since I read that

I've pretty much only ever seen them with blue trim, and with the exception of some gold trim on more ostentatious shoulderpads I paint all mine blue. I can't find anything about company markings on Lexicanum, but I don't think I've ever seen them with said markings. I think it's best to assume it's a pre-Rynn's World incident practice, as Joetaco said.

Probably. It always did strike me odd in the book because it only mentions the trim once, and no other mentions of any other trim are in the book at all.

Good book by the way. But I do mine just blue, yeah they are partially recovered from there losses but due to the fact that there are probably a more specialist than normal troops I don't think they start distinguishing companies with many personnel going back in forth to units to accomplish missions.

My interpretation is that the Crimson Fists are no longer divided into Companies, as they have suffered too many losses. I always give my Veterans silver trim though.
