Looks potentially viable, but I'd both HQs in favor of cmd-barge warscythe overlords. Imotek doesn't do anything for you in a list where you can inflict two turns of nightfight anyway. The other lord isn't going to do anything for 130 points either. Make them threats in their own right.
Your troops seem pretty fragile for 2000 points, and I'm not entirely convinced that 3 is enough for objective games at this level. Consider cutting the warrior groups to 9 and putting them in Ghost Arks to better protect your crypteks.
I also don't get what the role of the tesla carbine Immortals are in this list. The AP- really hurts those weapons against a lot of targets, especially if you're not using Stalkers to pump out more hits. I'd either replace them with another ghost ark warrior unit, or at least give them blasters.

tesla carbines have been math hammered to be less effective than gauss blasters against anything with greater than a 3+ save. And they tie for 3+, with blasters edging on top by a couple of points of a wound. the tesla carbines only better the gauss blasters at 2+ armour save. Automatically Appended Next Post: and i believe he would use the solar pulse to make it light in his turn, so that his doomsday arks can fire.

The AP- is good against marine targets MSU. The warriors and Blaster Immortals don't negate their saves. The Tesla Carbine doesn't either, but it can force the enemy MEQ squad to take lots of saves, increasing the chance of failure. The increased range is also a bonus.

Really? i'll have to go with blasters then, i just took telsa because they were assault weapons instead of rapid fire. What if i traded a squad of scarabs for a stalker to guide the doomsday cannons?

im saying there only better verse 2+ saves and 6+ saves (opposite ends of the spectrum...) otherwise are bested by the blasters. blaster beat them at 3+ by points of a wound. i think its something around 0.33.

He can just use the pulses on their turn though to inflict night fighting. If he cancels it out on his own turn, no lightning too.
And re: the effectiveness of tesla carbines - it should be pointed out that
A) The Carbine does have superior mobility that shouldn't be ignored
B) It's not a case of "Carbine is better at 3+ and lower, but at 4+ the blaster is better." The Blaster is drastically better at 4+, and can autoglance. However against opponents with cover, it doesn't really matter anyway, something to consider.
Immortals in this list appear to be designed to sit on an objective and he already has some fantastic ways of eating MEQ, so the blasters are probably better in this case.

Right, the carbine is great against MEQ targets, but in this list it feels unnecessary, because of the S9 AP1 pie plates at slowed ranges. If you're going to take immortals in a list like this, I'm guessing blasters would be more effective because you're covering all your bases. In this list I wouldn't take them at all though. -First, I'd like to start with the immortals. split them up into two squads of 5. Imho, The gauss will be more helpful then tesla, since ap4 is more useful than ap-.
-You should make 1 squads of 10 warriors and 2 squads of 9 and attach a HoDestro to each of the 2 squads for a nice ap2 str8 shot.
-imho, drop the three doomsday arks. take two annihilation barges, 90 a piece, that gives you extra points to play with. Get one x5 lychguards with shield and swords and have the overlord accompany them. Buy two ghost arks and put two of the x9 warrior + cryptek squads in them. That leaves you 25 points to play with just from there, and you are a lot more formidable.
-Drop down to 8 scarabs a squad The new list would look like this:
-HQ-
Imotekh The Stormlord: 225 points
Overlord w/ warscythe and rez orb: 130 points
-Troops-
x9 Warriors w/ Ghost Ark + Cryptek HoDestro w/ solar pulse: 282 points
x9 Warriors w/ Ghost Ark + Cryptek HoDestro w/ solar pulse: 282 points
x10 Warriors: 130 points
x5 Immortals w/ Gauss: 85 points
x5 Immortals w/ Gauss: 85 points
-Fast Attack-
x8 Scarabs: 120 points
x8 Scarabs: 120 points
x8 Scarabs: 120 points
-Elite-
x5 Lychguard w/ Sword+Shield, attached overlord: 225 points
-Heavy Support-
Annihilation Barge w/ Gauss Cannon: 90 points
Annihilation Barge w/ Gauss Cannon: 90 points
That gives you 1984 points. Buy an upgrade for your lord for 15 points, or an extra warrior or scarab. With this, you have 5 units that can capture points instead of 3, a good cc unit, more firing power, and very tough. Just thought I'd leave my comment on your list, lol.

Looks like it shouldn't be too hard to do this. Both weapons are held the exact same way.
If you're up more or less exclusively MEQ, I'd go with the carbine. But if you're fending off eldar and 'stealers and FWs, the blasters will be awesome.

You know, I would actually have both varients. But then again I do tend to make my lists multi-purpose and designed to fight a variety of opponents.
Of course, there is always the irritating fact that most play MEQs...

The scarabs and annihilation barges rush from a flank while the rest of your army sits there shooting from one sport, using the warriors not in the ghost arks as a screen for cover. Two ghost arks means each turn you get to make the squad get new warriors up to 10. The lyguard is there to counter a squad who will attempt to assault the warrior screen. It forces your opponent to send something better then a basic squad to try and assault or they will lose the squad. Honestly though, I dislike the lychguard, as well as praetorians, and would rather transfer them out for a catacomb command barge for your overlord, another Annihilation Barge, and use the remaining 55 points to do something else, but you never know when the lychguard will save you...

I like the look of the list you posted Falkorse, but I dislike the Lychguard which seem a bit of a waste. They are such an expensive, powerful unit and yet they will likely never get used if you play your cards right. I really like your comment about replacing them with a Command Barge and a third Annihilation Barge, which increases vehicle count and gives some additional ranged firepower, and you have enough points left over ti beef up the Warriors and the Immortals.
For instance:
Stormlord - 225
Overlord (Warscythe, Res Orb, Command Barge w/ Gauss) - 210
Cryptek (HoDest w/ Solar Pulse) - 45
Cryptek (HoDest w/ Solar Pulse) - 45
9 Warriors (Ghost Ark) - 232
9 Warriors (Ghost Ark) - 232
11 Warriors - 143
7 Immortals (Gauss) - 119
7 Immortals (Gauss) - 119
8 Scarabs - 120
8 Scarabs - 120
8 Scarabs - 120
Annihilation Barge - 90

Annihilation Barge - 90
Total 2,000
It has plenty of ranged anti-tank and with the Scarabs as a massive fire-draw for any mech list it should function well enough. I think I might give it a shot in my game this week and see how it works out.

Glad I could help make a list that someone wants to try. With each scarab squad, trail or put in front an annihilation barge. The combination will just absorb shots from your opponents, meaning the setup of the warriors and immortals will go off without a hitch. Send in the first wave, the barges and scarabs to get rid of vehicles/any real threats. the warriors in the arks will shoot at transports using the crypteks, and the screen of warriors will give the arks a 4+ cover save. Keep the immortals back to be used to grab points and lay down fire from a distance. Make sure to report the game, and I definitely want to know the outcome.

If the overlord is on the command barge then the res orb will likely be a waste as its only affecting one unit. Tackyon arrow might be a better choice.
Edit: Crypteks with HoD and solar pulse are 55 points each.
