Hey guys !
I had a small problem in my last game.
We (my opponent and I) weren't sure about something : can a squad try to shoot at a skimmer (like a dark eldar raider) if it's in range and in sight even if there is another enemy squad between them ?
it would look like that:

x------O-----S

"x" is Player 1 (with the shooting unit), "O" some player 2's squad and "S" player 2's skimmer.
Can player 1 shoot at the skimmer?

I think it's not possible but my opponent was pretty sure about this.
So ?

Thanks in advance !

Of course. If you can see any part of a model/unit, even the tiniest sliver, you can shoot at it. And the vehicle would only get a cover save if LOS to 50% or more of the hull was blocked (IE not likely if the squad was on foot).

Player 1 can shoot at the skimmer if the firing models can see a little bit of the vehicle's Hull.

5th Ed uses True Line Of Sight, basically if you can see it, you can shoot it.

Yes you can shoot at the skimmer.
If vehicle moved "flat out" it could have 4+ cover save.

Half of vehicle's face must be obscured (facing your unit) to get a cover save as well like infantry (5+ hedge, etc.).

See "Vehicles and Cover - Obscured Targets".

If it is in range and you can see it, you can shoot it.
