I'm looking at citadel finecast on GW's site and the prices of a lot of things have to be wrong. If not I'm done with 40k as this is absurd!!! A single Zoanthrope/Hive Guard/Tyrant Guard for $41, Hive Tyrant/Trygon $96, Draigo $39?!?!?! It goes on, everything is absurdly priced. If this isn't a mistake than GW can feth OFF!!! I'm fething done with them if this is the case. Absolutely ridiculous. Here's the link.

Not sure if you are serious or not, but it looks like you logged in as an Australian.

They pay way more for their GW items than the rest of the world.

US pricing for the Zoanthrope that you linked to is US$24.75.

I have no clue how that happened then. *sighs of relief* I haven't logged into GW for a long time. Must have been a mistake on my part and I just realized it... whoops.

Considering the Aussie dollar is about as strong as the American dollar, you can imagine why us Aussies have to whine all the time about how expensive the hobby is.

I had a similar experience the other day. I looked at the GW website and found that a box of just 10 Cadians now costs £18.

I looked again.

They were still £18.

Same thing happened to me before and I almost sh*t my pants.

Still the price of models is starting to get bad. Like I almost feel forced to buy stuff off ebay some times due to price.

It's really not that bad.

By far the majority of aussie gamers do NOT play in a GW store (although you can poke a stick in most capital cities and hit three of them) and GW has not:

a ) run tournaments, or
b ) provided prize support for independent tournaments for the last few years.

This, combined with the RoW embargo is currently biting GWAU on the arse and hard. The 'competition' is seriously gaining ground in a way it hasn't since the early 90s.

You lot do realise the minimum hourly wage in Aus is $20 Uk is like £6.

It's all relative.

Australia is more around $15 an hour from what I heard. But yeah, that is pretty high compared to the US as well. Almost twice as much.

Smaller amount of people crammed into the seaboard coldfire. its all relative to the amount of space and population dispersal.

i must lol, to these american-australian-canadian whiners...
try to count to other currencies, for example to czech crown and than you realize that yours 83$ is 1/15 of my monthly salary
I understand that this hobby is not cheap but there are other countries where this hobby is VERY expensive
