Just wondering if 5th edition has the target priority rule.

May Your Souls Be Sacrificed As Penance To The True Machine God
By The Way The Flag Is New Zealand Not Australia.

The Machine is strong. We must purge the weak, hated flesh and replace it with the blessed purity of metal. Only through permanence can we truly triumph, only through the Machine can we find victory. Punish the flesh. Iron in mind and in body. Hail the Machine.

Yeah, Black Templars are still subject to Target Priority as specified in their FAQ.

For everyone else, it's gone.

Something that does not exist in the 5th ed rules.

It was a rule that meant you had to pass a leadership test or shoot the closes thing to you.

IIRC (and it's been a long time) it was to shoot at all.

say there are units set up like below

Squishy Bad Guys

| Not So Squishy Bad Guys

| |
| |
| |
Your line of guns

Even if your guys had a clear line of sight to the Squishy ones, the others are closer, so you'd have to pass a Ld check to shoot them.

which is also funny the way the BT FAQ says that the rule "Works perfectly as written"; since without a 4th edition rulebook(or remembering how the rule works from playing 4th); you would never know what the rule does: which means it does not "work perfectly as written"; unless it works by doing nothing.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Closest there is to target priority is rage and instinctive behaviour.
