HIDING IN METAL BAWKSES!

I think some highlighting would do it good.
Other than that, I like it!

+1. Get some highlight in there (probably "Blazing Orange" and possibly up to "Sunburst Yellow" if you want to get that far).

Pretty good already though, keep it up.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Thanks for the advice. I was skeptical at first but once I got the complete model done I decided to go with it. The first picturers were scab red highlighted with blood red.

These pictures I added sunburst yellow as a small line on top of the blood red, and it just popped. Thanks

Probably work

Yup, it's really that simple, and it looks really good afterwards. I've started doing it to all my GK hammers. I might go back and get all of the other NFWs also.

Assume all my mathhammer comes from here: https://github.com/daed/mathhammer

I actually used a similar technique in painting my salamanders. Basecoating the weapon black, but instead, I drybrushed mine from blood red up to sunburst yellow, moving closer to the tip with each layer, and it gave me a very nice "Wreathed in flame" feel. I'm thinking about trying that on a copper basecoat. any ideas?

BTW, great lightning effect. a sugestion, though. If you want a really great lightning feel that would stand out from the red armour, try making the energy colors in blue, going up from ultramarines blue, all the way to ice blue. then add a really fine line of sunburst yellow down the center to make it pop!

Mmmm....I think it looks too deliberate, I like the lighting effect being used when it looks more random and less clean. For exmaple you could have streaks of lighting/power that are at differnt levels of intensity, this would also add to the depth of the sword as well.

Yea, you have the colors / technique down, but the lines look to straight! needs more wavy lightnighy effect!

^this and I'd suggest to highlight the sharp edges as well. I think it'd look good.
