Hey everyone, for those of you who don't know, myself (Reecius), Will, Frankie and Luis opened a game store in Martinez, CA.

https://www.frontlinegaming.org/

Facebook page: (like us if you don't mind, please!) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Frontline-Gaming/254778901241466?ref=tn_tinyman

Check us out for 20% off GW and hobby supplies, with cheap shipping. The website doesn't show all of our stock yet, but we're putting more items up every day, so bare with us.

Anyway, we just picked up a new product line that is brand, brand new and we're really juiced about it.

We have been using these kits at our tournaments and everyone has been loving them, and commenting on how cool they look. A lot of Dakkanauts have seen them to verify this.

The Cargo containers are really cool, super easy to make and provide awesome, cheap LOS blocking terrain.

The Candimonium kits are also, super cool. They are laser cut sign board kits that are built using common soda cans. They look awesome when done and we ordered a bunch of them so if you are interested, we offer them at 10% off of retail.

Here are some pics to give you an idea of what they look like. Scale wise, they are really big, We are getting some scale photos soon. Let us know if you have any questions about the kits.

Thanks!

Yeah, they are super cool. They really make a table stand out. We'll get some pics up from Comikaze where we had them on a lot of tables.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Armorcast has had resin can toppers and bases for a while now.

This is a nice product but IMHO resin > laser cut wood (which is what this looks like).

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is laser cut wood, Orlanth. The resin was too brittle in testing, and broke a lot, from what i was told. The Acrylic was too expensive, and the wood proved to be strong, affordable and easy to come by.

@mad4minis
Yeah, for sure! That is what we were thinking, too.

The Candimonium kits look nice, but did I read the prices correctly? Is the one can set really $18?

That seems quite steep for what you get.

Yeah, that is right. The piece is very big, but I feel you on price.

The kits are made by a single guy, working in his workshop, so it's a very boutique kind of kit.

We love ours though, and got a lot for the BAO and Comikaze. They look awesome on the table.

Having now checked your store, those can terrain things seem like they're a bit on the expensive side for what you're getting. They're more expensive than full on plastic terrain kits.

The wood was affordable for them, but for us not really looking at how much they sell those.

These are really cool, picking these up when i get back to usa in a few weeks.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Does it help to drink the cans of beer before assembly?

These look pretty cool, I've had my eyes out for cargo containers (the AT-43 ones seem hard to find now) so I may have to pick some of those up.

Best of luck with the new shop Reece!

Are the shipping containers sold in groups of three or are they $20 each?

I like the single and double tall kit design, but I feel they really need some extra detailing to add some realism: mainly a lot of rivets and similar detailing.

They are a little plain.

They strike me as good for generic sci-fi or say Infinity but don't eally carry a lot of 40k vibe, though anyone with a half decent bitz box can remedy that easily enough...

The rices though...

The can kits are nice... The radar and solar panel versions are a particularly nice touch.

The shipping containers are fantastic, although it's a little hard to tell from the pics given if they actually have a door of some kind in one end. They also appear to need a slight bit of tweaking, as the end pieces look like they protrude slightly out the sides.

And yeah, the listing needs to be clearer as to whether you are getting one or three... For one, it seems a little pricey. For three, fix the end-piece fit, and you would have some guaranteed sales. Well, if you fix whatever is going on with the store's security certificate...

Wow, amazingly expensive for kits made of laser-cut MDF (which, at the scale these are at, the materials cost is pennies), that really don't provide enough space for even a 25mm round-based mini to stand on them (other than the 4-can kit), and which the consumer is providing 3/4 of the kit itself.

I mean, $30 for the double tall is insanely steep considering Litko makes an almost identical kit for $15 that actually seems to have more floor space, isn't a competitive price.

Also, as insaniak mentioned, it's unclear whether the intermodal containers are $18 for a 3-pack or for each piece.

It doesn't matter if this is some guy in his garage making these kits as there are already similar products made by your competitors which cost 1/2 the price. I'd advise checking out your competitors and re-evaluating your cost structure. Oh, and get your site's security certificate updated!

I concur, these are some great Industrial Towers.

Now the real question is....

When are y'all coming out with some Space Corridors?

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback, I will pass it on to the manufacturer.

The cargo containers are made from resin, and are a single container for the price. I will clarify that in the product description. The containers are quite large, too. Much bigger than the AT-43 containers.

We've built a number of them (50, actually, for our tournament tables) and they go together flush if you assemble them correctly. There are no doors as on the AT-43 kits, but there are caps.

We do offer these kits assembled and painted for a very reasonable rate, and will be getting that up on the site soon.

The site is secured, I am working on why the security certificate isn't displaying properly. There is a link in there that is causing trouble. I should have that fixed, soon. We accept payment via paypal which, obviously, is secure.

Out of curiosity, is the name of the company a joke about the cookie making elves who live in tree houses of the same scale or just the unfortunately ironic name of a founder?

Hello,

I am one of the guys working on making these kits. John is the other. Thank you for the input, it is appreciated. We are working on getting the costs down, but that will require a new machine which hopefully is not to far away. Part of the higher price than other kits is because of the detailing. Every edge needs to be cut, so the more fancy stuff on the inside/cut outs there are, the longer they take. But who wants plain old flat no frills terrain

Also, if there is stuff you would be interested in seeing in the future let us know and we can see what we can do!

Thanks!

Cool. I couldn't resist asking as the irony of a company named Keebler making terrain for use with (among other things) little elves of the space variety was a bit much.

Tyson & Reece, it would be great to see some smaller versions of the shipping containers, like crates that can be stacked.

John is working on making a smaller version of the cargo crates that should be half the length.

I like the look of the products but not the prices.
Have been very disappointed in the high cost of laser cut MDF tbh, as I was expecting it to be a cheap alternative to plastic or resin
This is a personal opinion of all laser cut MDF suppliers I have seen and not just Frontline.
