Dipping With Wood Stain

This is just something I was thinking about recently, and would like a bit of verification on. If, say, a Daemon Prince or something else with Eternal Warrior is tank shocked by a vehicle, passes its leadership, makes a Death or Glory! attack, and fails to stop the vehicle, does it still die? I'm assuming it does, but I'd like to check anyway.
The Death or Glory rules state "If the attack fails to to stop the vehicle, then the tank shock continues as normal, except that the brave (but perhaps rather foolish) glory seeker is crushed by the vehicle grinding over him - the model is removed, regardless of Wounds, saves (invulnerable or not), or any other clever way of staying alive they can think of." Since it doesn't actually say it's Instant Death, but instead just says the model is removed, then I'm assuming that the daemon prince just got run over and squished by a Rhino.

It seems the implication is that Eternal Warrior is clever.

Even EW models are removed, including peeps like Yarrick IIRC.
Think Yarricks ability has to do with losing his last wound

It does not cause Instant death, or even cause wounds. EW has no ability to keep you alive if you fail DoG

A failed DoG attempt removes the model regardless of wounds.

There is close to nothing that can save you from a failed Death or Glory. Eternal Warrior does nothing about it as it does not cause wounds.

It has noting to do with causing wounds or not, it is because as nos said.
nosferatu1001 wrote:It does not cause Instant death
If an attack had some way to cause multiple wounds like say an extra wound to a model that fails a save EW wouldn't even help then because it is not Instant Death.

Yes. The model is " removed as a casulaty regardless of wounds, no saves or any other clever way they have of staying alive"
Of coarse there is models that DO die, and stand back up, such as Yarick, Celestine, Thawn and Necrons.

yep... its the reason some nids players even won't DoG vs fdeffrollas... in theory the D6str 10 attacks are bad but aainst a monstrou creature with 6 wounds ... nto worth losing all 6 wounds (worth doign if they only have a few wounds left though)

Not to mention if they DoG they get 2D6 Deffrolla hits on them.

You takle 10D6 Str 6 hits on your back armour, because Yarrick stands up and
" What the feth does he think he's at?!"
Then goes ape on the underside or the legs.

I assume Yarrik would be placed as close as possable to his location of death.
This is why you should never accept a DoG with anything big, because there is a VERY good chance you get killed.
a Rhino vs a Hive Tyrant/Daemon Prince/Carnifex...
We will assume a Pen with 2D6 armor penetration and str through the roof.
Results:
1) You are dead
2) You live, but if the vehicle has EA you are also dead.
3) You are dead
4) You live
5) You live
6 You live
If the vehicle has EA, you basically have a 50/50 chance of dying. Otherwise its a 1/3 chance of getting one shotted by a cheapo DT.

Yarrick canot stand after a failed DoG; because he has not lost his last remaining wound(the trigger for iron Will); he is simply "removed".
Reanimation Protocols and Grand Admiral Thrawn(oops, I mean Justicar Thawn) can both still get back up and have rules to deal with the tak being on their counters.
