Recently finished painting Karchev the Terrible for Warmachine, in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Next up is a Kodiak for his battle group. I was surprised at how well the pink works... I like it, quite a bit.

Always nice to see Karchev, dont see enough of him. The face is definitely lacking and while the rust spots themselves are nice, I think they are a little abrupt, and the pink could do with a little more weathering to make the rust look more natural.

I agree with redfinger about weathering. Although I have a different approach, how about adding a little bit more rust just at the edges, only a tiny bit. Then add a pale silver centre to it. This represents the fact that painted and primed metal rarely ever rusts, so the chips are making gaps for moisture and oxygen to get through. That would also break up the bright paint nicely.

The face would not mind a wash. And if you are picky, you could dot the eyes. You might have done that deliberately to add a badass sorcerer look, though.

Short of that, brilliant stuff.

Need to add the ribbon on there too since just about everyone who supports it has one of those on their car.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm working on a pink Kodiak right now, and will try out further edge weathering on him first.

The metallics are mostly GW BoltGun Metal, washed with Devlan Mud, and then with a thin P3 Bloodstone wash. That's pretty much it. The bronze-ish parts are Brazen Brass, again washed with the same Devlan Mud and Bloodstone washes. I find that it gives a pretty nice "realistic" metal color in just a few simple steps.
